Heed these words from the President & Founder of Krav Maga Association-

Remember in Training:
Slow is Smooth, Smooth is Fast. And practicing fast without building the motor skill first will just get you killed!!

Realistic Self Defense...National Data shows that a GUN THREAT or a KNIFE THREAT is "used FAR more often to frighten or intimidate" and used for beating someone MORE than they are used for killing.. meaning, someone will more than likely use the gun or knife to rob you, beat you, r**e you and beat those around you rather than stand back several feet and shoot you !!!.. yes, shootings do happen as we know... BUT, FAR MORE OFTEN the gun or knife is slammed in your face, or at your throat or your chest, If you do not practice realistic gun and knife threats or knife attacks, you are NOT really prepared to defend yourself. There is NO defense against an attacker with a gun 10 feet away, unless you have a gun and are QUICKER and more accurate under stress.... You MUST practice Gun disarming and Knife disarming first at slow motion, learning the mechanics, the angles and direction of the weapon. Then practice at a medium pace, yet still with control. Once you have mastered at a medium speed, one MUST practice at a much faster speed and under a stress related situation or drill. Then practice surprise attacks from different angles.. remember "Perfect Practice makes Perfect" but also remember, there is no perfect situation when being threatened or attacked with a weapon. Going FULL speed and FULL resistant right off the bat will do nothing but get you killed... remember... you MUST practice with a warrior's mindset to survive... not to make someone tapout..
