Swim Lessons with Brooke Mann

Swim Lessons with Brooke Mann Brooke Mann teaches swim lessons beginning at six months of age to adults. Hello! My name is Brooke Mann and I have been teaching swim lessons for 20 years now.

I was a competitive swimmer for ten years, swimming for a city league swim team first and also with the YMCA and USA Swimming. I started teaching swim lessons with my good friend and her mom in their backyard and then went on to teach and direct swim lessons for the YMCA and Red Cross with the City of Grand Prairie. I coached competitive swimming for Southwest Aquatics of Texas from the novice lev

el to some of the fastest 12 & under swimmers in Texas. After starting a family, I took a break from coaching. I now focus on swim lessons taught in our back yard. We have a new, purpose built swimming pool with diving board at the deep end, lane ropes, and large shallow end for allowing beginners to become comfortable in the water. You will probably see my four girls running around the backyard and swimming in the pool with me. I love to swim and teach others how much fun you can have in the water.

Talking about water safety can be intimidating, and little minds might find the water a scary place to be. Participating in early swimming lessons, having water safety discussions, and using reinforcement can go a long way when it comes to water safety!

Teach your littles to prioritize safety around water by learning to swim early, always wearing life jackets near natural waters, and only getting in the water when an adult is next to them.

Also, let them know to be cautious when getting into the water. If they can't swim, they should always have an adult within arm's reach, stay in shallow water or play at splash pads, and avoid all pool drains.

Together, we can teach our kids to be safer around water!

I’m sorry to say I will be closed for Summer of 2022.
Our family has moved to Grandview and we are building a new house and pool. Unfortunately we just have a big pile of dirt right now. I will not be teaching any lessons this summer but I’m sure I will be ready to get started again when our new pool is finished.
My four girls will be ages 8-16 this summer so I’m going to spend this time with them. I think it has been 11 years since I have taken a summer off.
Thank you for swimming with us! We hope to see you next season!

I am excited to offer a few FALL classes this year! We are still having swim team at the Waxahachie YMCA with practices in the afternoons so these classes will all be day time classes. Swimming continues to be a great activity for all ages and levels of swimming. If you would like to continue swimming please follow this link to sign up for a class. Registration is now open.

These classes will be pay by the day classes. If you cannot attend your class that day or the weather does not permit swimming you don't have to pay. I will heat the pool when needed so my plan is to swim as long as I can keep the water warm. There is no commitment to swim the entire season. You can drop your class whenever you like.
Class sizes will be a max of six in the 5&under classes and six to eight in the 6&up classes.

Please fill out this form completely to register for swim lessons. You can register up to four children with this one form or register for multiple days. Payment is due the first day of class. You will get an email from me to let you know if you have a spot in the class you choose.
