Backyard Splash

Backyard Splash Our lessons are catered to each child. We take them from the level they are presently at and build on those skills.

Over time, we have learned that starting private lessons with kids younger than 3 can be frustrating for the child and parent, so we usually do not take kids younger than that. We do make exceptions for some older 2s who are around water with a "no fear" attitude! The instructional time is 30 minutes long and teachers work on many skills, including safety techniques. We've had success stories wher

e the child started and would not get into the pool, and within a few weeks, was happy as can be in the water. Other success stories range from getting themselves out of trouble and simply building much needed confidence with school age kids who still are not quite sure of themselves in the water. We make no guarantees, but can promise a genuine dedication to your child and a caring, positive atmosphere to learn in.

I am posting this announcement here first, and will make contact with all of last year's swimmers this weekend. After literally months of weighing our options, going back and forth, and lost sleep, (for me at least!) we have decided to close our business due to issues with our pool. They happened after the swim season and it was a complete surprise. We did not come to the decision lightly, but at this point in time it's the best one. We started Backyard Splash in 2009 with 2 or 3 teachers and around 30 students. Over the years, you helped us almost triple that enrollment and we've been SO blessed with the quality of teachers we have continued to employ. THANK YOU to the teachers from 2009-present and to the families who trusted us over the years to teach their children! It's such an important life skill and I personally got so much enjoyment watching them progress. Take care, everyone, and as usual....I'm ready for summer!!!

The back float is probably the most important skill to learn. And these kids rocked it!
