Grand Rapids Ballet School

Grand Rapids Ballet School Grand Rapids Ballet School is the educational branch of Michigan's only professional ballet company offering ballet training to students ages 3-19.

Along with the Grand Rapids Ballet , the School aims to lift the human spirit through the art of dance. Students will receive the highest quality dance instruction in a nurturing and encouraging environment while developing knowledge of technique, self-discipline, poise, grace, and a love of dance. Students will have the opportunity to perform in Grand Rapids Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker,

and Grand Rapids Ballet School Junior Company productions. All students will perform in the Grand Rapids Ballet School End of the Year Program.

🚨NEW Senior Movement Class 🚨

We are excited to launch our "Independence in Motion" class for Seniors at our new Ada Campus location!

The first class is Tuesday, September 8, 1:30-2:30pm, $20 drop-in rate

This is a functional movement class, not a dance class. Music creates an energizing atmosphere while participants move at their own pace. The exercises will focus on strength, balance, mobility, coordination, and flexibility to support everyday activities and help participants stay safe and independent at home.

Looking for the perfect introduction to dance for your child? Grand Rapids Ballet School invites young dancers to join us at our new Ada campus! Registration is still open for our Young Dancer Program, and classes begin on Tuesday, September 8.

Thank you to everyone who came out to our GRBS Ada Campus Open-House on Friday.

Registration is now open for our Young Dancer Program (ages 3-7) and Ballet 1 (ages 8-10) with classes starting September 8.

Registration for our Ada campus is open now for classes beginning September 8 at 495 Pettis Ave. You can register at grballet.com.

We welcome the community to our free open house on August 28 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on site at the new Ada Campus. We’ll have light beverages and feature a mini-performance by dancers from the Grand Rapids Ballet Company at 7pm.

We will also be giving away a subscription for our Family Series which includes Nutcracker, Alice in Wonderland, and Pinocchio productions.

Grand Rapids Ballet School invites your aspiring young dancer to our new Ada Campus!

Register your child today at grballet.com, and join us tomorrow, August 28, 6-8 pm, for an open house and mini-performance from the Grand Rapids Ballet Company at 7 pm.

Registration is now open for our Young Dancer Program (ages 3-7 and Ballet 1 (ages 8-10), with classes starting September 8. This program is a prelude to formal ballet instruction, introducing movement and ballet basics through fun, engaging activities.

GRBS is proud to host our popular Summer Dance Camps, designed especially for young dancers!

These ballet camps offer a fun and engaging way for your child to stay active, make new friends, and explore the fundamentals of ballet during summer break.

For children ages 3-6, our 75-minute ballet camp introduces the basics of etiquette, coordination, and musicality in a playful, interactive environment. Little ones will explore creative movement, set personal goals for the week, and learn the discipline needed to achieve them.

For children ages 6.5-10, our two-hour ballet camp ignites creativity and passion for dance. The curriculum focuses on building a strong foundation with an emphasis on posture, placement, coordination, strength, flexibility, and the basic vocabulary of ballet.
