West Michigan Sports Commission We foster economic development by attracting sporting events that improve our citizens' quality of life and elevate the brand of Grand Rapids.

The West Michigan Sports Commission is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) that identifies, secures and hosts a diverse level of youth and amateur sporting events to make a positive impact on the region’s economy and quality of life. Since its inception in 2007, the WMSC has booked over 600 sporting events and tournaments that attracted 1,000,000 athletes and visitors, generating $290 million in direct visitor spending.

🏒 AHL League Meeting - June 15-18; AHL team business meetings are gathering at the DeVos Place Convention Center.

🏌️‍♀️ Meijer LPGA Classic - June 18-21; Returning to Blythefield Country Club, top female golfers play at their prestigious tournament.

⚾️ USSSA Elite Championships - June 18-21; 13U Baseball competes at the Meijer Sports Complex this weekend for championships.

🥎 USSSA Gold Glove Classic - June 19-21; Youth and High School softball take over Byron Center with an exciting weekend tournament.

🎾 USTA Midwest Closed Championships 16-18U - June 20-24; 16-18U Boys and Girls tennis compete in Hudsonville and Byron Center starting Saturday heading into next week.

🚴 GR Gran Fondo - June 20; The Keybank Gran Fondo features the biggest finish line festival in Grand Rapids with cyclists riding throughout the Greater grand Rapids area.

The deadline to apply for The Hartford Athlete Equipment Grant is today, June 15th at 11:59 pm!

Move United, in partnership with The Hartford, is helping make adaptive equipment and sports more accessible for youth and adults with disabilities.

Having the right adaptive equipment can make all the difference. This grant provides up to $5,000 in equipment to support athletes as they pursue their goals and grow both on and off the field.
