Grand Rapids Kids Marathon Kids run a marathon distance over three months with their families. EVERYONE is welcome to join this Join us in 2022! Let's be healthy in community together!

The Grand Rapids Kids Marathon presented by Family Capital Management. We will get together three times in Grand Rapids to engage kids and families this year. Invite friends and encourage more kids and families to be healthy and engaged in the community with the 2022 Grand Rapids Kids Marathon! Get more details on our website, this page, or newsletter. As every year, pick up or print out

your running log. Each shoe on the track is worth a half-mile of running or 15 minutes of any activity. Kids: get your whole family to do it with you. Community Events:

August 2 at 6:30 pm at Millennium Park - run the first mile, start your log, and get all your questions answered. Raffle and giveaways! September 20 at 6:30 pm at John Ball Zoo - run our obstacle course and meet the staff of the Grand Rapids Marathon. October 15 at 1:30 pm at the Downtown YMCA - run the final 1.2 miles TOGETHER! Join us for this family friendly event with some of your favorite mascots, giveaways from local businesses, face painting and more! Note: There is no charge for this event, which includes a tracking sheet, incentives, community meet-ups, newsletter tips, a T-shirt, and race-day events of a supported course, snacks, and fun kid activities. Our goal is for children to learn to become physically active for a lifetime. Running creates endorphins, which make you happy. Happiness makes you smile and feel good about yourself. Feeling good about you builds self-esteem. A strong self-esteem creates leadership.

POSTPONED. As much as it pains us to do this, the race committee has decided to postpone this afternoon's kids race until Monday, October 20, 6:30 PM at Millennium Park. We have a much better chance at a fun, dry race for our kiddos.

PLEASE NOTE that the start/finish line is south of the YMCA this year due to construction. We will meet in the GVSU Devos Lot on Winter. More details coming in the newsletter!

We look forward to seeing you TONIGHT, Tuesday, August 5 for our kickoff event!

Here are a few details on exactly where to find us. Post any questions below and we'll try to answer quickly!

We will meet at Millennium Park, 1415 Maynard Ave SW, Walker, MI, on the west side of Maynard Street. Drive all the way back, past the swim beach, around circle drive near the boat house. We'll be in by the back parking lot (parking lot C). You'll see us set up with tables and a start banner. See you then!
