A little over a year ago this book was only an idea I had. From there I set milestones and daily goals for myself to dedicate to making it a reality. Now I’m a little over a month away from being a published author of a book that I have full confidence will make a difference in numerous people’s lives.

Do you think this is true?

In this journey of life I’ve found that what you put effort towards is what you will get. I thought time in a job I knew I wouldn’t do forever was the right move until I could find an opportunity to switch over to what I wanted. It made me miserable and I started to seeing that my timeline for my career was getting longer to where I wanted to be. The moment I chose to set out on things I wanted to do was the moment all my dreams started coming towards me and not away from me. Get out there and you’ll get the opportunity or else risk loosing it to someone else that is willing to get out there.

What small victories are you celebrating?

Keep in mind that success isn’t just big victories, but a bunch of small ones put together. In the journey of writing my first book victories weren’t labeled as drafts complete and so on- they were labeled by every time I got myself to sit and write, research and edit. Those lead to milestones in this journey and now in the matter of just under two months the biggest milestone yet. There is still small victories to have in the way- take time to celebrate them instead of focusing on how far your milestones are from you.

Hat do you need to keep pushing through right now?

It’s not always fun when heading towards success, and doing things to get there gets tiring at times. In my own life I’ve found this in writing, cosplay and anything I do. When things don’t work out it seems better to abandon ship, I will admit. But to reach your dreams you need to keep going and never stop trying. Even if motivation is gone, make yourself do the things you don’t want to do to reach your goals.
