💚💜 Meet Miss Emily 💜💚

Miss Emily is the owner of Pure Energy Dance. Emily started dancing at the age of 3 and has over 20 years of experience teaching. Through her dance career Emily has studied a wide variety of dance styles from Lyrical, Ballet, Pointe, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, Musical Theatre, High Kick, Pom, and more. Growing up Emily danced competitively throughout Minnesota. She enjoyed competing at both the regional and national level. As an instructor her choreography has won overall awards, platinum’s, judge’s choice, high point awards, and many dancers have been crowned title holders under her instruction. She has all instructed several dancers who have gone on the to dance in college, on crusie ships, and dancers who have opened up their own studios.

Emily has taken classes at some of the most prestigious studios in Los Angeles, and studied dance through the UMD Dance Department where she received a minor in dance along with her bachelor degree in Business Management. She was selected as to represent Minnesota as a Dance Across the USA dancer, a nation wide campaign bringing awareness to our beautiful national parks. Emily is Acrobatic Arts Certified teacher and a certified Progressing Ballet Technique teacher.

Dance has always been Emily's true passion, she puts her heart and soul into every one of her dancer's instruction. She is a strong believer in continuing her dance education to always bring unique and new dance technique, choreography, and styles to her dancers.

Meet Miss Corrie

Miss Corrie started dancing at 3 yrs old. Her passion for dance grew into a love right away. Corrie dance competitively and won many prestigious titles throughout her competition career. Her favorite style is acro. Corrie has a strong acro background.

Outside of dance, you can find her at the racetrack every week, dancing whenever she can, and chasing sunsets at the beach. Corrie is also studying to become an X-ray technician.

Meet Miss Chloe

Miss Chloe danced at Pure Energy Dance as part of our competition team for many years! After high school, she continued to do some coaching as well as taking dance classes at UMD. She eventually transferred to Lake Superior College, where she just graduated from with her degree in Surgical Technology. Miss Chloes favorite dance highlight was going to the Showstopper convention in Wisconsin Dells were she had the opportunity to work with many amazing choreographers.

We are excited to have Miss Chloe back at the studio!

💚💜 New Staff 💜💚

Meet Miss Presley

Presley began dancing at age three, competing by five, assisting in classes by eleven, and teaching by sixteen. Over the course of fifteen years, she trained at two local studios, completing her junior and senior years with 218 Dance Project. Her passion for ballet was nurtured at the School of the Minnesota Ballet and Raise the Barre Ballet Studio, where she performed in productions such as The Nutcracker, excerpts from Swan Lake, and Kingdom of the Shades from La Bayadère. She has also performed numerous award-winning solos, duos, trios, and group pieces.

During high school, she discovered a love for choreography, taking on the role of Head Choreographer for Cloquet Senior High School’s musicals—a position she has held for four years. Her credits there include Little Shop of Horrors, Mamma Mia!, and Shrek the Musical, and Into the Woods. She has also recently choreographed for Descendants Jr for The Playhouse.

Currently, she is pursuing her undergraduate degree in K–12 Instrumental Music Education with a minor in Applied Dance at the University of Minnesota Duluth. She is thrilled to continue sharing her artistry and teaching at Pure Energy. Above all, she is dedicated to fostering creativity, self-confidence, perseverance, and a lifelong love of dance in her students—ensuring they leave each class with both pride in their accomplishments and joy in their hearts.

Meet Miss Emily S. 💜💚

Miss Emily grew up in Esko, Minnesota and started dancing at the age of 6. She has experience in jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical and hip hop, and spent many years dancing alongside studio owner Emily! Emily had the opportunity to dance at half time shows at both Vikings and Twins games. In addition to teaching dance, Emily has been the captain and coach for a competition cheerleading squad which one bids for Nationals.

Miss Emily is our amazing Adult class teacher! Tag someone you think would have a blast in her class!

Meet Miss Madison 💚💜

Madison started dancing at 4 years old and danced recreationally through school until her senior year she came to dance competitively at Pure Energy. This will be her third year teaching and she loves staying involved in the dance community and sharing her love for dance.

Meet Miss Lydia 💜💚

Miss Lydia has been dancing for 12 years and for 6 of those years she has been apart of our Competition Team.

Her favorite style is lyrical. She has also trained in jazz, tap, ballet, and contemporary. This will be here 3rd year teaching.

We are a week away from the start of classes! It is time to meet our instructors!

First up: Miss Grace

Grace started dancing at six years old. She has trained in a wide variety of styles throughout the years. Grace has danced competitively for several years.
