Met some awesome people including the very talented, Kuana Torres Kahele last weekend. Had a lunch date with my auntie—I’ve missed her so much! Went camping afterwards. Got to finally kick back with da ohana and watched Jason Mamoa’s Chief of War on AppleTV-so good!

Got to dance next to some beautiful wahines at a family reunion. Good laughs, good vibes.

Mahalo nui to EAU Dance for welcoming us! Emily, We truly enjoyed watching your students’ beautiful performance and were honored to be part of your inspiring theme, “Water Stories.”

In Polynesian culture, ka moana is more than the ocean—it is our ancestor, our pathway, our storykeeper. These “water stories” flow through mele, hula, and voyaging traditions, connecting us to generations past and guiding us forward with the wisdom of the waves.

Mahalo nui loa to the Grand Rapids Asian Pacific Festival for giving us space to share our culture. We loved connecting through hula, lei-making, and lots of aloha.

Big love to my haumāna—you brought heart, energy, and so much joy. So proud of you all.

And to the hula moms, aunties, uncles, and friends—your kōkua made everything run smoothly. Couldn’t have done it without you.

Experiencing the mana of other performers and vendors was so inspiring to see our cultures shine together.

🌺Mahalo to the Grand Rapids Public Library for the opportunity to share Hula and Polynesian dance in celebration of AANHPI heritage yesterday. It was a joy to celebrate culture, storytelling, and movement with the community.

It was such a special experience, especially for our newest haumana some of them performed their new dances for the very first time. Seeing their hard work, comes to life on stage was a proud moment for all of us.

Thank you for creating space for cultural expression and connection. Looking forward to more moments like this.
