EpicCentral Guardians

EpicCentral Guardians The Mission of the Central Park Guardians is to manage, build, protect and preserve Central Park. We dedicate this effort to Mr. Grady Lee Thomas. Mr.

The GrandCentral Guardian fund was founded on May 22, 2010 to provide a meaningful way for citizens and guests to leave their footprint on the splendor of Central Park. Resources generated through the Central Park Guardian fund will help improve and enhance the natural beauty of Central Park. This 172 -acre gem stands as a tribute to the passionate citizens of Grand Prairie who have a long heritag

e of supporting quality of life issues in their community. The first anchors of Central Park are “The Summit”, the innovative state-of-the-art center for those 50 +, and the breathtaking Public Safety Building. Future anchors will include the Grand Lawn Amphitheater, the Central Park Aquaventure Water Park, and the Recreation Center. In addition, the park will provide miles of trails, ample refection space along the series of five lakes, a trail of art to cultivate and enhance the senses, and environmentally friendly Texas landscape. Further plans include retail development, restaurants and other complimentary private developments. The Central Park Guardian fund has developed several areas of interest for one to donate monies and resources including; Art, Landscape, Fishing, Park Amenities, Recreation Amenities, and General Park Support. Outside of these areas, citizens are invited to talk to the Parks and Recreation Department regarding specialized gift requests. The Central Park Guardian will hold quarterly Member Only events which will provide fellowship and updates as to the status of the Park. Further, Members will receive discounts and other premiums as a way of saying thanks for you selfless and meaningful support to Grand Prairie’s Central Park. Thomas bequeathed $250,000 which provided a dance floor and other improvements to forever promote the value of dance in “The Summit.”
