🏉 MIDWEST MEN’S POWER RANKINGS — WEEK 2

Week 2 is in the books, and the picture across the Midwest is starting to take shape. With another full weekend of competition behind us, it’s time to see how the D1–D4 Men’s Power Rankings stack up heading into Week 3.

📊 D1 • D2 • D3 • D4

Two weeks in, we’re starting to see teams separate themselves — but there’s still a LOT of rugby left to play. Wins and losses matter, but these rankings also consider margin of victory, quality of opponents, home/road performance, bonus points, and other results-based factors.

That means the Power Rankings won’t always look exactly like the league standings — and that’s the point. 👀

🚨 MWRU WEBSITE UPDATE 🚨

With the launch of the new Midwest Rugby Union website, we’re still working through a few bugs related to the competition logic and standings.

We’re actively working on correcting many of the standings issues right now, and we appreciate everyone’s patience as we get everything dialed in. 🛠️

📊 A quick note: All standings and match results come directly from Rugby Xplorer (RX). The website is pulling that information directly from the system, so discrepancies can sometimes originate from the underlying RX data or how the competition logic is interpreting it.

By early next week, if you’re still seeing point discrepancies, incorrect standings, or teams missing from the standings altogether, please email the Midwest Rugby Union so we can investigate and correct the issue.

The rankings are back — and Week 3 is a big one for Midwest Rugby Union Women’s Rugby! 🏉

After two weeks of competition, Women’s D2 is beginning to establish the early-season pecking order. Clubs are battling for every result, and the race is already starting to take shape. 📈

But this weekend, we finally get to add Women’s D1 to the mix. 👀

🔥 WOMEN’S POWER RANKINGS ARE HERE! 🔥

Week 1 is officially in the books for Women’s D2, and that means the rankings are already starting to move! 👀📈

With the first results on the board, there’s been some shifting in the D2 pecking order. Who made the biggest jump? Who held their ground? And who’s already feeling the pressure heading into Week 2? 🏉💥

Meanwhile, Women’s D1 is still waiting in the wings. 👀 Their season kicks off next weekend, so these preseason rankings are about to get put to the test. No results yet — just expectations, history, and a whole lot of rugby waiting to happen.

The rankings are NOT official standings — they’re our look at where teams stack up based on results, recent performance, and a little historical context. Once the games start, though… things can change FAST. 😏

🏉 WEEK 1 LIVE SCORING & ROSTER ID CHECKS — UPDATE 🏉

Week 1 is in the books, and we wanted to take a moment to provide an update on Live Scoring and Roster ID Checks across the Midwest Rugby Union.

Overall, things went really well! 👏 There were a few bumps along the way, as expected with any new process, but clubs and teams did a great job getting familiar with the requirements and putting the procedures into practice.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who took the time to complete their Live Scoring responsibilities and ensure roster IDs were being checked. Your work helps make match administration smoother, improves the accuracy of our records, and ultimately makes things easier for everyone involved.

We’ve put together a short article with some general reminders and helpful tips based on what we saw during Week 1. Give it a quick read before next weekend’s matches — a few minutes of preparation can save everyone a headache on game day! 😉
