Another week, and yet another former youth Bulldog wrestler wrestling at National duals!

This time Chase Van Hill will be wrestling for the Mn Storm at the 14u National Duals at the Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus in Wesley Chapel, FL!

See the shared post for links to follow along online this week, as they wrestle Greco Roman Tuesday and Wednesday, and then Freestyle Thursday and Friday!

🔥 2026 14U National Duals Preview 🔥

Team Minnesota has landed in Florida for the 2026 14U National Duals, taking place June 9-12 at the Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus. The 14U division features some of the nation's top wrestlers born in 2012 and 2013, competing in both Greco-Roman and Freestyle competition.

Greco-Roman action begins tomorrow, June 9, at 7:00 a.m. CST with three rounds of preliminary pool competition. Greco competition will conclude Wednesday afternoon before athletes weigh in again for Freestyle. Freestyle competition begins Thursday morning at 7:00 a.m. CST and wraps up on Friday.

Minnesota will put out one tough team to compete at this year's event in its new Florida location in Wesley Chapel. The roster is loaded with wrestlers who have put in the work throughout the spring and summer, and we are excited to see them represent Minnesota on the national stage.

Looking back, last year Minnesota finished 3rd in Greco-Roman and 9th in Freestyle. In 2024 they finished 7th in both styles.

Looking further back, Team Minnesota captured the 14U Freestyle National Duals Championship in 2021 with a victory over California in the finals. In 2019, Minnesota finished as Greco-Roman National Runner-Up, falling only to Pennsylvania.

This year's squad is accomplished and looks to continue Minnesota's tradition of excellence and challenge some of the nation's best teams throughout the week.

The youth wrestlers finished out the season with their awards banquet last Sunday. They enjoyed great food, fellowship and an awards ceremony to cap off the season.

Thanks to all the parents and coaches who helped make this a successful season. Without you all running kids around and volunteering your time, we couldn’t offer this opportunity to the youths in our communities.

To the sixth graders, thanks for contributing to the program and we hope to see you next year having success at the high school level.

What a great way for our youth girls to finish the season this weekend at NYWA Girls State!

We crowned yet another state champion! Charlotte Christenson made it back-to-back state championships and was once again named Outstanding Wrestler for her age division! Emry Wallace took home bronze and Reagan Bain took home fifth!

We had a few girls wrestle on a K-4 team that took fifth and GMLOS’ 5-8 team won their final match to take ninth!

Not to be outdone by his daughter, Coach Christenson also took home some hardware being named the girls 5-8 Coach of the Year! Congrats Coach Christenson!
