Important Announcement: After careful consideration, Grand Lake Skijoring has made the decision not to host the 2027 event in the Town of Grand Lake. This was not an easy decision, and it is not the outcome we hoped for.
Over the past two years, we have been incredibly proud to bring a unique Western Rocky Mountain tradition to Grand Lake—an event that celebrated our community, supported local businesses, welcomed visitors, and created unforgettable memories.
This event was made possible because of thousands of volunteer hours, generous sponsors, community support, and the personal dedication and investment of our organizers. We have loved building this event because we believe deeply in this sport and this community.
As the event has grown, so have the resources needed to produce it safely and successfully. To remain a free community event, Skijoring requires a strong, dependable partnership with a host community.
With planning timelines moving forward, we had to make the difficult decision to pursue a location nearby that can provide the long-term partnership needed to sustain the event.
To every volunteer, sponsor, business owner, competitor, spectator, and supporter: thank you. You helped make Grand Lake Skijoring something truly special, and we are forever grateful.
Grand Lake will always be where this journey began. We are excited for the future and look forward to sharing what comes next. We will update you with a new location soon! ❤️
