GJ Blackout is a youth basketball club based on the Western Slope in Grand Junction, Colorado. The teams are compri

sed of talented middle school and high school aged girls and boys and play in tournaments throughout Western Colorado and also in other regions such as Denver, Colorado Springs, Utah and potentially other sites throughout the US. GJ Blackout is a volunteer, non-profit organization. The philosophy of GJ Blackout is to develop individual player skills in basketball, to encourage a lifetime love of the game of basketball and to teach the important skills of being a part of a team. Winning games and tournaments is a bonus and we have our fair share of success! It is also important for our club to keep it affordable to being a member of GJ Blackout and a lot of the uniform and tournament fees are paid by sponsors. Youth Sports Giving day is HERE!!
COLORADO YOUTH SPORTS GIVING DAY IS HERE
Today is the day to support the Blackout Fieldhouse and the future of youth sports in Western Colorado. Colorado Youth Sports Giving Day officially begins today, Sept. 1, at 6 p.m. MT. From tonight through Sept. 15, donations made to GJ Blackout through ColoradoGives.org will support opportunities for young athletes throughout the Grand Valley and Western Slope.
DONATE EARLY TO MAXIMIZE YOUR IMPACT
The first $1 million donated online statewide beginning at 6 p.m. will be matched dollar-for-dollar while funds remain available. These matching dollars are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, so giving early provides the best opportunity to double the impact of your donation.
Your support can help GJ Blackout:
• Keep competitive youth sports accessible and affordable
• Provide scholarships and equipment for local athletes
• Expand camps, leagues, training and programming
