Final day of Masters worlds in the book!! Another day of lessons learned and bettering ourselves through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu!! Congratulations to Ivy for her hard work and 3rd place 🥉!!! Big ups to Dustin Czapla for his hard fought matches and his 3rd place 🥉 and new Brown Belt!!! Way to go Yall. We could not be more proud of everyone who stepped on the mats this year!! More to come on the overall Masters Worlds trip this year!!! Let’s get back to Grand Junction CO and Grand Valley BJJ & Muay Thai and put the lessons learned to work!!!

What got me into jiu jitsu, and why coaching? I finally sat down and answered both. 🎥

25+ years on the mat, and the thing I still love most is teaching the little kids — watching them go from timid and unsure to brave and confident, one class at a time. That’s why we built two locations — Grand Junction and East Mesa County— so more families could find that moment too.

Great open mat today. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
So awesome to have so many black belts and colored belts from various gyms on the Western Slope all training together and helping each other out and getting better. Shot out too Montrose Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Gunnison Jiu-Jitsu, and GZ Roaring Fork Valley BJJ. We always had and will always have an open door at our gyms. Cross training is good and if you wanna truly get better and experience BJJ you gotta expose yourself. Crawl out of your echo chambers and experience what a true BJJ community is about.
