The Action Pistol Group (APG), based in Mesa County, CO, is dedicated to providing comprehensive personal protection training and education for individuals of all abilities and ages. The APG also offers advanced training and competitive shooting activities. All courses are NRA Certified and coached by qualified male and female volunteers. The Western Slope's premier gun safety training course.

Congratulations to the Fruita-Monument High School Clays Team for their impressive performance at the Colorado State Championships in Colorado Springs! The Team received the following awards:

⭐️First Place Highest Average for a Team for the Season in their Conference in Trap
⭐️First Place Highest Average for an Individual in Trap
⭐️Colorado State Championship in S***t
⭐️Highest Season Average for a Male in S***t
⭐️Highest Overall Average for the Season in S***t
⭐️Highest Female Varsity Shooter in Trap

Action Pistol Group of Grand Junction (APG) supported the team with a contribution of over $8,000 to cover ammunition and uniforms. APG is a charitable organization that has been training responsible citizens how to safely handle fi****ms for over 24 years. We are also the anchor tenant at the Cameo Shooting and Education Complex hosting monthly matches in four disciplines of competitive shooting. APG acknowledges the hard work and dedication of the "Wildcat Clays Team" and applauds the coaches, families and others who support the Team!

📌Concealed Handgun Permit(CHP) Renewal includes instruction on changes to Federal and State Laws related to fi****ms; a written competency exam; and a live-fire exercise conducted in person by a Mesa County Verified Instructor.

📌Intro To Competitive Shooting provides detailed instruction in the rules and fundamentals of IDPA, USPSA and SCSA including live-fire shooting of stages.

📌Basic Pistol With Concealed Carry covers the basic rules of gun safety, fi****ms law, safe operation, gun maintenance, concealed carry techniques, situational awareness, defensive mindset, and meets all State of Colorado requirements.

📌NRA Instructor Pistol Shooting Course candidates should be safe, competent, and experienced shooters with a desire to conduct basic fi****ms training at the grassroots level.

Today, APG hosted the USPSA Support-A-Soldier Charity Match at Cameo Shooting and Education Complex. This “typical third Saturday of the month” match was an expanded eight stage match benefiting the Support-A-Soldier Foundation, a nonprofit headquartered in Grand Junction. The foundation raises money to equip military men and women with non-lethal items to stay safe and efficient while in combat. After the match, a check for $2,550 was presented to President Dan Reid.

Spring was in the air and the weather was perfect for the Saturday, March 28, Action Pistol Group Basic Pistol with Concealed Handgun Permit class at the Cameo Shooting and Education Complex. Great job to all the students who successfully completed the full-day course! Everyone who receives a certificate meets the State of Colorado criteria to apply for a CO Concealed Handgun Permit. APG would like to thank the talented NRA Pistol Instructors who assisted with the class. The course covers the Four Rules of Gun Safety, Law, Handgun Fundamentals and Ammunition, Awareness and Defensive Mindset, Concealed Carry tips and more plus range time.

Congratulations to the 14 Cameo Range Safety Officer candidates who successfully completed the Action Pistol Group's NRA Range Safety Officer course on Monday, March 30. The full-day course is taught by APG President Scott Martin and includes classroom lecture and range time. Everyone who completed the course is eligible to serve as an RSO at the Cameo Shooting and Education Complex. The volunteer RSOs play a vital role at the CSEC facility and are much appreciated. The Action Pistol Group, in addition to teaching RSO classes, hosts various local matches at Cameo every month and also offers Basic Pistol with Concealed Handgun Permit courses, CHP Renewal classes, Intro to Competitive Shooting, and more.
