To My competitive Dancers.
I want you to know that your Dance Teacher sees you.
I see the time put in and the extra practices when you could have chosen your break or rest instead. I see the way you lift your team mates up around you when there energy is lacking or they just don’t have it in them that day. I see the respect you show me and those around you. I see your sweat blood and tears and I see every ounce of work that goes into being a competitive dancer.
I see you!
As we approach our first competition I need you to know how very proud I am of each one of you. Although I try to tell you often, I think sometimes you do not completely understand the weight of my words. I am not proud of you just because you are beautiful dancers, or that you’ve grown tremendously over the years but I’m proud of you for the Human beings Dance has helped you become. You are determined, you are strong, you are Kind, You are leaders, You are respectful, you get back up!! Read that again….
You get back up!!!
You don’t run away from Hard, but stare it straight in the face and ask it if that’s all it has and then you tackle it straight on! All of this along with what you have been taught in your own homes will set the path for success when you leave these walls that have become your second home.
I have been blessed enough to have you all as my dance daughters and dance families. I don’t think that’s accidental but hand picked by God.
As we approach our first competition no matter the scores or trophy remember who you are and what you have to offer just by being you. Trust me when I say it’s enough. ❤️
Love your Dance Teacher.
