🏀 The mid-range isn’t dead.

Worked with Drew on turnaround jumpers from the mid-post and low block. While a lot of players focus on 3s and finishes at the rim, great scorers understand how to create separation and get to shots defenses can’t easily take away.

The turnaround jumper has been used by players at every level, from Kobe to college basketball and beyond, not because it’s flashy, but because it’s effective.

Footwork. Balance. Patience.

Master the details, and the shot becomes a weapon. 💯

🏀🚐 Week 1 of the 308 Hoop Central Summer Tour is in the books.

From team camps to skill development sessions, we’ve been all over Nebraska helping players build confidence, sharpen their skills, and prepare for the season ahead.

What you see in this video is just a small glimpse of the work being put in. The energy, competitiveness, attention to detail, and willingness to improve has been awesome to be around.

A huge thank you to every coach, player, parent, and community that has welcomed me into their gym this summer. We’re just getting started. 💯

🏀💙 Full circle moment.

Back in 2018, Elm Creek gave me my first high school coaching opportunity. That group of players helped ignite a passion for teaching and developing athletes that eventually led me to Las Vegas, Omaha, starting 308 Hoop Central in Grand Island, and working with players all over the country.

Fast forward to today, and one of those players is now stepping into his first year as the head coach.

Pretty special.

This group is coming off a State Semifinal appearance and has their sights set on making another deep postseason run. After spending two days in the gym with them, I can tell you they’re hungry, coachable, and willing to work.

Appreciate Coach Miner and the Buffaloes for trusting me with their program. Excited to see what this group accomplishes this season. 💯🔥

🧠🏀 Skill is one thing. Decision-making is another.

Worked with Kellen on an audio cue challenge where he had to react to a verbal command while attacking the basket and finish with the correct move.

Did he get every rep right? Nope.

And that’s the point.

Real games require players to process information, make decisions, and react in real time. Sometimes that means mistakes happen. That’s where growth happens too.

We’re not just training moves. We’re training players to think while they play. 💯

First stop of the summer tour: Haxtun, Colorado. 🛣️🏀

Spent the entire day with the Haxtun girls program working on skill breakdowns, decision making, competitive games, and building habits that translate to winning basketball.

One of the biggest conversations today wasn’t about plays or moves, it was about CULTURE.

Winning culture is built through daily habits, accountability, and players pushing other players to higher standards. From March to November, transformation doesn’t happen by accident. It happens through tough choices, extra reps, getting in the gym when nobody’s watching, and finding ways to be 1% better every single day.

The daily deposits may seem small now… but they’ll add up by next season.

Appreciate the energy, competitiveness, and hospitality from Haxtun all day. The work starts now. 💪🔥
