Welcome to the gym, Matthew Metz!

Matthew Metz is an NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist with experience training athletes of all ages — from middle school and high school athletes to collegiate and professional levels.
Matt currently serves as the Head of Performance at Niagara University, working with the Men’s Ice Hockey, Women’s Basketball, and Women’s Lacrosse programs. He has also gained valuable experience within the strength & conditioning departments for the University at Buffalo basketball and football programs, as well as the Buffalo Bills.

Matt earned his Master’s degree in Exercise Science and Nutrition Science from University at Buffalo while also playing club ice hockey.
We’re excited to have Matt bring his passion, knowledge, and energy to help our athletes perform at their highest level. Be sure to give him a warm welcome!

If you’ve ever walked through our doors, chances are you’ve been greeted by his friendly face at the front desk. Jasper is more than just a warm welcome — he’s a true example of hard work, dedication, and consistency both inside and outside the gym.

This past weekend, he took on the Grand Island Half Marathon and crushed it 💪
🏃‍♂️ 1:53 finish time
🏅 10th in his age group
📊 128th out of 367 runners

From early mornings at the front desk to putting in serious miles on the road, Jasper embodies what it means to show up and put in the work every single day.
