Our summer all-star season has officially ended. I want to take a moment to look back at our final tournament games and, more importantly, thank everyone who made this season possible.
Here is how our teams wrapped up tournament play:
⚾ 10u Minors: The boys took a tough loss in game 1 of the single-elimination bracket, falling 20-7 to Roosevelt Park. Nate Bittenbender, Owen Moorehead, and Jack Willoughby all contributed with hits in the game. The 10u All-Stars finished the summer with an impressive 4-2 overall record. Great job setting the tone for the future, boys!
⚾ 12u Majors: The 12u squad also faced a tough draw, dropping their single-elimination opener to a strong Fruitport team. Noah Little, Brooks Nardin, and Finn Newmyer all stepped up and contributed with hits. While the team finished the summer 1-4, their effort and improvement over these past few weeks have laid a fantastic foundation for this age group.
Looking Ahead: We could not have relaunched this program without the incredible support of our community. To the coaches who volunteered their time, and to the parents who managed the travel, the practices, and the cheering section – thank you. You are the heartbeat of this program.
This short summer season was just the beginning. We learned a lot, played some great baseball, and set the stage for what comes next. I promise you, there are even better things on the horizon for this program.
