Dear friends and followers,

It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Rocking K Farms will not be hosting Day Camps for kids this summer. We know many of you were looking forward to this, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Over the last three months, we have faced many obstacles, including some changes in horses, and after much consideration, we have decided to take a year off to focus on our family. We hope you understand that this was a very difficult decision for us to make.

If you have a Camp Certificate, we want to assure you that we are offering lessons in replacement of a Camp. We are committed to providing a quality experience for all of our clients, and we believe that lessons are a great alternative for those who were looking forward to our Day Camps.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We look forward to seeing you all for the 2024 season.

Professional Horseman Chuck Briggs suggests having riders keep their eyes up and feel for the diagonal with a knowledgeable helper who can assist the rider by confirming whether they've got it correctly, then repeat the process over and over.

"I might also suggest they turn some corners and feel the horse's legs move beneath them. If it feels awkward or if they feel the horse shorten the stride around the corner, those things can help beginners find their diagonals," says Briggs.
