Team Reel Property finished second overall in the amateur division of the Grand Haven Offshore Challenge this weekend. Fishing was tough to say the least but we managed to find our ten fish limit of fish each of the two days. The all star crew for the weekend was Chris Laird, Noah Laird and Jon Freriks. Great start to the tournament season! Next up is the Ludington Offshore Classic on July 20 and 21.

3rd Place Finish in the am division of the Ludington Offshore Classic! Big comeback for Team Reel Property today. We struggled on day one ending with a mediocre box of six fish which put us in 27th place. And had a slow start on Sunday. At 11:30 we only had three fish. Fortunately we found a nice pod of fish at the end and managed to land seven fish the last two hours. Our ten fish on Sunday were the biggest am box of the day and enough to lift us to a third place finish. Congratulations to our great friends from Holland Team Offline who won the am division!!

Another Big Fish! Team Reel Property fished the RAZE Eyewear Big Lake Classic out of Saugatuck this weekend. After a mediocre day on Saturday we found some nice fish on Sunday including a 27.9 pound Salmon which helped lift us to a fifth place finish in the amateur division. That fish ended up being the biggest for the tournament and winner of the Denny Allen Memorial Big Fish contest. What a great way to end our tournament season!!!

Special shout out to Jeff at MacBaits for a quick turnaround on getting several reels respooled for us on Friday afternoon!

333 Champs! Team Reel Property had a fun couple of days fishing our home waters in Holland at the Big Red Classic this weekend. 3rd place finish in the amateur division and overall champs in the 333 contest. Also managed to land a new boat record 28.18 lb lake trout! Great job by Chris Laird, Noah Laird and Doug Geerlings. Special thank you to our friend Russ Sylte and all the volunteers for running one of the best tournaments in the circuit!

Team Reel Property competed in the Schu’s Summer Challenge in St. Joseph, Michigan this past weekend. We landed a nice mix of Lake Trout, Coho Salmon, Steelhead and a few King salmon . Our box on Saturday was good enough for a second place finish in the amateur division. Special thank you to the crew this weekend consisting of Chris Laird, Jon Freriks, Jeremy Freriks, and JR VanTuinen.

Tournament Season has officially begun! Team Reel Property started off the year fishing the Quake Coho Classic in Michigan City, Indiana this past weekend. Fishing was great on Friday and Saturday with a nice mix of Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, and Lake Trout. We were in 6th place after Saturday, and managed to move up one spot after a very tough day of fishing on Sunday, to finish 5th out of 32 boats. Great job by all the guys on the crew: Warren Westenbroek, Chris Laird, Noah Laird and Doug Geerlings. Thank you to our good friend Joel DeVries and everyone at the Hoosier Coho Club for putting on a great tournament.

Great way to end our Tournament Season!!

Team Reel Property fished in the Saugatuck Big Lake Classic this weekend. We had a fabulous day Saturday landing 12 nice fish including a 30.0 lb Chinook Salmon. That fish ended up being Big Fish for the tournament!! It is the second largest ever caught on our boat (the boat record being a 31.9 pounder caught last year). No coincidence that Doug “Mr Thirty” Geerlings has reeled in both 30 lb monsters. He’s our big fish specialist!!!

Day two was much tougher fishing for us but we were able to hold onto a 3rd place overall finish in the amerteur division. We came in to the tournament as the two time defending champs a d were hoping for a repeat. Congratulations to our close friends on Team Offline who were tournament champs.

The three largest fish we caught this weekend gave us a second overall place finish in the separate 333 contest.

Another tournament with some great fisherman and even better friends! Thank you Doug Geerlings, Chris Laird, Noah Laird, and Warren Westenbroek for all your hard work this weekend!!!!

Sorry for the delay and the sketchy live streams this weekend! Connectivity was a nightmare! I just got to Whitehall for my weekly stop at San Marcos Bar and Grill where they make the world’s best Carnitas! So now I’m trying to get caught up. Congrats to In U Endo and Offline for their victories in the Pro/Am and of course to Reel Property for that 30lbr that took the Big Fish Prize. Kudos to The Foundation as well who locked up their second straight 333 win in Saugatuck!!!!

Had a great weekend fishing at the Ludington Offshore Classic with Chris Laird, Noah Laird, Warren Westenbroek, Doug Geerlings, and Jon Freriks. Finished 4th out of 68 boats in the ameratuer division and took home some prize money. 😊. Caught 33 fish over the last three days with 10 of those nearly 20 pounds or larger, two of which topped 25 pounds. The weather and fishing were both fantastic. Here are a few pictures from our fun weekend.

Great start to the tournament season for Team Reel Property. We fished in the Quake Coho Classic this weekend in Michigan City, Indiana. On Saturday we landed our first big King of the season, weighing in at 23.65 lbs. That fish ended up being the biggest overall for the tournament!! For the weekend we finished 6th out of 40 boats in the amateur division and 6th for the 333 contest. Felt great to be back in the water after a long winter. Big thank you to a great group of friends and the best crew around: Warren Westenbroek, Noah Laird, Chris Laird, JR VanTuinen, and Doug Geerlings.
