Rider Cheer 2026 Fall Teams ❤️📣

We are excited to officially announce our JV and Varsity Cheer Teams for the 2026 fall season!

Important: There will be a mandatory cheerleader + parent meeting on Wednesday, April 22nd at 5:30 PM in the Rider Room at Red River High School. All athletes must attend with a parent/guardian.

1. How long have you been cheering?
I have been cheering at red River since freshman year!

2. What is your favorite sport to cheer for?
My favorite sport to cheer for is hockey! I’ve grown up figure skating so getting to put that together with cheering on my school is so fun!

3. What is your favorite thing about cheer?
My favorite thing about cheer is getting to be on the sidelines with some of the nicest and funniest girls I’ve ever met and getting to constantly be laughing with them!

4. What are your postgraduate plans?
I plan to go to UND and get a business degree!

5. Your favorite cheer memory!
My favorite cheer memory is cheering at state hockey, specifically in 2024 when we won the state championship! The energy at state hockey games is unmatched and it’s so exciting!

6. What advice can you give to your fellow cheerleaders?
Always have fun and work hard, the hard work is always worth it!

✨ Senior Spotlight: Jacey Brynjulson ✨

1. How long have you been cheering?
This is my fourth year cheering! I started my cheer journey my Freshman year on JV football and Varsity hockey!

2. What is your favorite sport to cheer for?
While I enjoy cheering for hockey, football is just a bit more fun because of the stunts we get to put up so the crowd gets rowdy!!

3. What is your favorite thing about cheer?
Leading a crowd! Seeing your whole school attend a football game and being able to hype them up is a feeling like no other!

4. What are your postgraduate plans?
I plan on attending either UND or NDSU for Nursing and hope to work as a Labor & Delivery Nurse! Also plan to cheer for whichever college I attend!

5. Your favorite cheer memory!
Meeting everyone on my teams throughout the years! I have made so many friends and learned lots from my peers!

6. What advice can you give to your fellow cheerleaders?
Don’t be afraid to try new things and speak up! Communication is key, not just for cheer but for life. Be loud, be proud, be you!

I have been cheering for 8 years. 😃

2. What is your favorite sport to cheer for?
I love cheering for football the games are so fun!

3. What is your favorite thing about cheer?
I enjoy bonding with my team and all the friendships I get to make through the sport I love

4. What are your postgraduate plans?
I plan to cheer in college and go to nursing school

My fav cheer memory was EDC and STATE basketball my freshman year

✨ Senior Spotlight: Lila Jackson ✨

1. How long have you been cheering? I have been cheering for Red River cheer for 3 years, and all star cheer has been 12 years.

2. What is your favorite sport to cheer for? My favorite sport to cheer for is football!

3. What is your favorite thing about cheer?
My favorite thing about cheer is being with my best friends and doing what I love as well with tumbling on the sidelines.

4. What are your postgraduate plans?
I hope to attend Arizona State University, and go into business/marketing.

5. Your favorite cheer memory!
My favorite memory is when we got to go to state for the championship game.

6. What advice can you give to your fellow cheerleaders?
For my fellow cheerleaders, my advice is to you is to enjoy every single moment and get involved as much as you can! Cheer goes by so fast so make the best of it, it’s such an unforgettable experience!!

1. How long have you been cheering?
“I have been cheering 3 years football and 2 years basketball both starting as a sophomore.”

2. What is your favorite sport to cheer for?
“My favorite sport to cheer for is football, because of the enthusiasm from our student section, and celebrating after each game.”

3. What is your favorite thing about cheer?
“I like bonding with teammates/friends on game days, having team builders, and showing skills we leaned from practice at games.”

4. What are your postgraduate plans?
“I plan to attend either UND or U of Mary, and major in either psychology or pre-occupational therapy.”

5. What is your favorite cheer memory?
“My favorite memories are winning Cushman Classic my junior year, and going to State football in 2024. (I know we didn’t win, but it was still fun to experience!)”

6. What advice can you give to your fellow cheerleaders?
“My advice is to not be too hesitant to join as a freshman like I was. You only get 4 years, and will regret not doing it sooner. Enjoy every moment, because it goes by so fast!”

I have been cheering since sophomore year!

2. What is your favorite sport to cheer for?
Football 🏈✨

3. What is your favorite thing about cheer?
My favorite thing about cheer is being under the Friday night lights with my friends and the positive environment the coach’s provide for all us girls!

4. What are your postgraduate plans?
I plan on attending UND!💚Hopefully will be apart of the dance team!!

5. Your favorite cheer memory!
My favorite cheer memory is definitely the hoco game where it down poured and we were sliding in the puddles!

6. What advice can you give to your fellow cheerleaders?
My advice is to not care about what others think of you and to be yourself loud and proudly on the sidelines! ✨✨
