Well, the season was supposed to start tomorrow. Unfortunately, there haven't been enough teams registered to have an eight-team league this year. For various reasons such as not finding enough players, lack of funding for individual teams, not wanting to play unless there is a cash prize, too many injuries on the team, the teams just haven't solidified this year.

After the success of the last two years, it seemed like this would be a great yearly activity for the community, but that isn't going to be the case. I am sorry and apologize to the teams and players who were hoping to participate this year. We can't say what the future will bring, but there will not be an eight-team league this year. However, I'm sure this won't be the end of organized, adult, competitive soccer in our city. See you around!

The second team has registered for the league. Back with yet another rebrand, Duster FC has risen the ashes of another semifinals finish rebranding as Grand Forks United! With team captain, Chile, planning to be around the entirety of the season and a beefed up roster, the team is looking to take home the cup.

The first team has registered for the league! Welcome, FC Vortex! After a disappointing loss in the semifinals, EagleSport was looking to rebuild, rebrand, and come back stronger than ever. The Championship Match for our Grand Forks City Soccer between Legends FC and Bemidji FC had everything a final could ask for! Back and forth goals, volleys into the upper 90, screaming fans, multiple lead exchanges, and a shootout! Game of the season, hands down! At the end of regular time the game was tied at 5-5, and after 5+ rounds of penalty kicks Bemidji FC secured the championship!

Congratulations Bemidji FC! And thank you to both teams for the fantastic final! See you all next year
