Retina Associates of Michigan An ophthalmology practice specializing in the treatment of diseases of the retina and vitreous. They are board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

We specialize in treating macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular occlusion, retinal detachment, macular holes, epiretinal membranes and other diseases of the retina, vitreous and macula. Our physicians are fully trained ophthalmologists with subspecialty fellowship training in diseases of the retina and vitreous.

Medical School: Saint Louis University School of Medicine
Ophthalmology Residency: University of Washington
Vitreoretinal Fellowship: Kresge Eye Institute / Wayne State University School of Medicine

🌟 Experience & Leadership
Dr. Singh grew up in Flint and Grand Blanc and returned to Michigan after an impressive career path. He previously served as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Kansas, where he trained future ophthalmologists. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles, written book chapters, and presented at both local and international meetings.

Currently, Dr. Singh is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and serves as Section Chief of Ophthalmology at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital.

👨‍👩‍👦 Outside the Office
When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Singh enjoys traveling with his wife and sons, hitting the slopes snowboarding, and cheering on Michigan State University athletics. 🏂🏀🏈

👨‍⚕️Doctor Spotlight!👨‍⚕️

Dr. Sophie brings extensive training, research, and surgical experience to Retina Associates of Michigan. After completing a research fellowship at Johns Hopkins University, he went on to complete his ophthalmology residency at the University of Louisville and a vitreoretinal fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin, performing more than 1,000 surgeries during his training.

With more than 35 published articles, Dr. Sophie continues to advance retinal care through research and serves as the Director of Clinical Research at Retina Associates of Michigan.

Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors with his family, and watching and playing soccer.

We’re proud to have Dr. Sophie as part of the Retina Associates of Michigan team! 👁️
