⚽ Respect the Call. Protect the Game. ⚽

As we kick off the season, Area G is asking every parent and spectator to help our fields stay a place where players, coaches, and referees feel safe and supported. AYSO Grand Blanc is proud to be part of AYSO Area 8G.

Cheer loud for effort and teamwork — but leave the coaching to the coaches and the calls to the refs. You don't have to agree with every call, but the person making it deserves respect.

Referee abuse includes personal insults, belittling comments, intimidation, threats, discriminatory remarks, and aggressive physical contact. It applies away from the field too — including on social media.

Our youth officials deserve the same encouragement you'd want for your own kid.

Concerns about officiating? Reach out to your regional leadership — not the referee. Suspected abuse can be reported to [email protected].

Let's make this a season our kids love and our referees feel good being part of. ❤⚽

We know a LOT of the specifics, and a little about AYSO, but there's one last thing to share - how to register for more soccer! Did you miss Fall Registration? Registration for 2027 Spring season opens January 10th and goes until February 28th. Ok, now we know a LOT of the specifics, but what about AYSO in general? Beginning with only nine teams and a handful of soccer enthusiasts, AYSO was established in 1964. The goal was, and still is, to ensure that kids have the opportunity to be introduced to the beautiful game of soccer. More than 50 years later, AYSO now has thriving programs for kids and adults in nearly 900 communities all over the country as well as internationally in the Virgin Islands and Trinidad and Tobago. With over eight million AYSO alumni, we are a name that’s synonymous with excellence and recognized nationwide.

Now that we know what to bring, and where our home fields are, we should know those BIG dates coming up! Our Fall opener is this Saturday, August 29th! No games will be held Labor Day Weekend. Interplay games for U10+ begin September 12th. The season ends at the end of October!

Now that we know what to bring, and where our home fields are, how do we know if fields are closed due to weather? Be sure to sign up for our text alert service! We'll let you know if Hartker fields are closed.

Overall rule of thumb: No news is good news! You'll hear from us if fields are closed. Remember on "iffy" weather days, just because Grand Blanc may be opened or closed, if you have an away game, that region may be closed. Coaches should confirm with opposing coaches prior to the game.

Now that we know what to bring, and where our home fields are, it helps to know field numbers! This graphic gives a general idea of Hartker field layout and location. Just know that field numbering is subject to change between seasons! Smoking, va**ng, alcohol, and pets are prohibited at the fields AND parking lot. Service animals are allowed.

Now that we know what to bring, we need to know where to go! AYSO 169's home is at the Rick Hartker fields, 5202 E. Maple Ave., Grand Blanc. The entrance is across from Maplewood Meadows subdivision. Ever see the totally not-fake-at-all-looking cell tower "tree" on Maple Avenue? We're just down the road!

Divisions U10, U12 and U15 are interplay divisions. This means that their home games are played at Hartker, but their away games may be played at other regions (Flushing, Davison, etc, with Birch Run or Durand being the furthest). See the "Interplay Fields" portion under the "How to Register & Other Questions" tab of our website AYSO169.org for location details.
