💜💛 GRANBURY SHOWED UP FOR OUR KIDS!

We are excited to share that Granbury City Council has passed the vote for upgrades to lighting and other infrastructure at our city athletic facilities! 🎉

This is a big win for Granbury youth sports — and a great example of what can happen when our community shows up and speaks up.

Thank you to every parent, coach, volunteer and community member who attended, reached out and made your voice heard.

And a very special thank you to Jacob Williams, Justin Stroud and Michael Fleming for speaking on behalf of Granbury youth sports families. 👏

Our programs are growing. Our community is growing. And our kids deserve facilities that can grow alongside them.

This is just the beginning.

🥎 SOFTBALL FAMILIES — HANG TIGHT!

Our interlock partners are still providing us with game times and field assignments. As soon as we have all of that information, we’ll get the softball schedules finalized and released!

We know everyone is excited to start planning their fall, and we appreciate your patience. 💜💛 Coordinating schedules between multiple organizations has a lot of moving pieces, and we want to make sure everything is correct before it goes live.

📣 FALL SCHEDULE UPDATE ⚾🥎

We know everyone is excited and ready to see their Fall 2026 game schedules! Here’s where things currently stand:

📅 Friday, August 28: Interlock meetings will be wrapped up.

💻 This Weekend: Our team will be working to finalize and input all game schedules.

📲 Monday, August 31: Schedules will be released!

Thank you for your patience as we work hard behind the scenes to coordinate schedules and get everything ready for the season. There are a lot of moving pieces when coordinating with multiple organizations, and we want to make sure everything is finalized before schedules are released.

📣 GAA FAMILIES — WE NEED YOU TO SHOW UP! ⚾🥎

Granbury City Council will be discussing a major proposed lighting upgrade for Granbury City Park and the Moore Street athletic complexes, and we are encouraging all available GAA families to attend.

📅 Tuesday, September 1
⏰ 6:00 PM
📍 Granbury City Hall

This proposal could have a huge impact on our athletes and families, including replacing aging lights on our baseball and softball fields, adding lighting to currently unlit soccer fields, and improving lighting around batting cages, warmup areas, the skate park, and throughout the complexes.

For GAA, improved lighting could mean more opportunities for evening practices, games, and activities while providing safer, more efficient facilities for our athletes for years to come.

🟣🟡This is our opportunity to show City Council how important these facilities are to Granbury families.

If you are available, please make plans to attend. Whether you have a child playing this season, have played with GAA in the past, coach, volunteer, or simply support youth sports in Granbury — your presence matters.

Let’s fill the room and show up for the kids who use these fields today and the generations who will use them next.

Granbury Athletic Association is excited to officially welcome Finnigan's Sports and Training as our Official Player Development Partner!

This partnership is all about giving our athletes and teams more opportunities to develop their skills, improve performance, build confidence, and keep growing throughout the season.

🔥 SPECIAL BENEFITS FOR GAA FAMILIES & TEAMS:

⚾🥎 Registered Players:
All registered GAA players will receive a special code via email for 20% OFF their first batting cage reservation at Finnigan’s Sports and Training!

👥 Registered Teams:
GAA teams will receive preferred pricing on team practice reservations throughout the season. Coaches will receive details and a booking link.

Interested in getting more involved with Granbury Athletic Association? Becoming a Commissioner is a great place to start!

Commissioners play an important role in supporting our coaches and helping each division have a successful season.

Commissioner Roles & Responsibilities:
⚾🥎 Serve as the primary point of communication between coaches and the GAA Leadership Team
📋 Help provide coaches with resources and support to make practices successful
🏆 Input and maintain game scores for your assigned division
🤝 Help keep coaches informed and ensure communication stays organized throughout the season

You don’t have to be a coach to make an impact. If you’re looking for a way to get involved, support our volunteers, and help make GAA better for our athletes and families, we’d love to have you join us!

🚨 14U BASEBALL COACH NEEDED ⚾

Our community stepped up in a big way, and after a couple of player transfers from GYBA, we now have enough players to form another 14U team!

The only thing standing between 5 boys on the waitlist and a chance to play this fall is one volunteer coach.

⏰ We need a coach committed by THIS SATURDAY so we can draft teams, order jerseys, and keep the season on schedule.

You don’t have to be a baseball expert—just someone willing to invest in these young athletes and make a difference. We’ll help you every step of the way.

If you’ve been thinking about coaching, now is the time. Let’s work together to get these boys off the waitlist and onto the field!

Just 2 more players and a Volunteer Head Coach are needed to form a third team!

We’re still looking for a Volunteer Head Coach to lead an incredible group of athletes this season.

This is what community looks like.

Because of your support, your shares, your conversations with friends, and your registrations, 20 players have officially been moved off the waitlist and now have a team to play on this fall! ⚾🥎

Every registration makes a difference, and together we’ve given 20 more kids the opportunity to step onto the field, make memories, build friendships, and play the game they love.

We aren’t done yet.

We still have 8 athletes waiting for their chance to play this fall. Let’s finish strong!
