Posting this for you to try on your own.

This stretch is one of my favorites. It works on so many different areas at once, and is the most effective for relieving lower back tightness.

If you don’t have a band, you can do this without one. Go into a half kneel and reach the arm overhead with a slight hip tilt. Open your chest and turn your head toward the ceiling.

Back at it with Sue Marshall this weekend outside for a rooftop workout in Chicago. She showed up with the same energy she always brings- sunshine, positivity, and focus. Sue’s goals are locked in this summer and we’re getting after them!

Injury care shouldn’t stop when Physical Therapy ends.

When you’re injured, you’re sent to Physical Therapy to restore range of motion and reduce pain.
But being cleared doesn’t mean you’re fixed.

Many licensed physical therapists must focus on the single injured area to get you functioning again.

What often gets missed are the compensation patterns, movement imbalances, and faulty mechanics that existed before the injury — and the new ones your body created after it.

If those patterns aren’t addressed, the risk of repeat injury, new injuries in other areas, and chronic pain all go way up.

So focus on the whole body when training, and add more functional and integrated flexibility routines into your programs.

Don’t just get cleared.
Get better.
