Thank you again to everyone who joined us for this years Freedom 5k! We had over 100 participants, collected several boxes of non-perishable food items, and raised over $700 in monetary donations! Gowrie Growth Group-G3Gis going to match the first $500 raised! 🎉 all donations and food items go to Community Pantry. Mark your calendars for next year!

Freedom 5K Returns to Gowrie on July 4

The community is invited to lace up their running shoes and celebrate Independence Day at the 15th Annual Freedom 5K on Saturday, July 4, 2026, in Gowrie.
The 5K run/walk will begin at 7:30 a.m. and features a 3.1-mile course around Gowrie. Registration will open at 6:30 a.m. at the Southeast Valley High School Football Field, located at 1202 Beek Street in Gowrie. Participants are encouraged to arrive early and complete registration forms well before the race begins. Registration is available on race day only, with no pre-registration offered.
Instead of a traditional entry fee, participants are asked to make a freewill monetary donation to The Community Pantry, with checks made payable to G3G, or donate non-perishable food and personal care items. Suggested donations include peanut butter, jelly, canned fruit, helper meals, pork and beans, Kleenex, shampoo, conditioner, liquid body wash, and toothpaste.
Due to ongoing construction, the race route may be adjusted as needed. However, both the start and finish lines will remain at the Southeast Valley High School Football Field. Participants are encouraged to follow the Gowrie Freedom 5K page for route updates and additional event information.
