Zoar Valley Paddling Club is a whitewater kayaking and paddling non-profit organization that spans from the Buffalo Western New York to North Western Pennsylvania Regions. Our purpose is promoting the practice of proper paddling and river safety, organizing club trips and events, aiding in river protection a

nd conservation, and introducing river sports to new members. Our main local run for paddling is the Cattaraugus Creek that flows through Gowanda, NY near Buffalo, also known as Zoar Valley, which offers sections of Class I-III whitewater. We regularly plan trips to other class III-V rivers in New York (Salmon), Pennsylvania (Yough), West virginia (Cheat), and Maryland (Savage). Membership benefits include American Whitewater club affiliation, membership to the American Canoe Association, a free magazine subscription, exclusive access to the upper south branch of Cattaraugus creek, insurance on trips, annual winter party, annual summer picnic, our own Cattaraugus Creek (river) cleanup and the Notaragatta river party, a discounted Niagara jet boat ride, winter pool roll practices, free nights at Lock 32 whitewater park, many scheduled and unscheduled river trips, and an online forum to post plans, organize trips, and meet people. Plus many intangible benefits like knowing you are helping preserve, protect and clean up rivers locally and nationwide. HOW TO JOIN:
