Our entire staff is committed to providing you with a truly memorable and unique experience that is Mt. Hood Meadows is located 90 minutes away from Portland in the Mt. Hood National Forest offering some of the best big mount

ain terrain for skiers and riders. Featuring 2,150 skiable acres, the accommodating varied terrain is serviced by 11 total lifts, 85 named runs, and a 2,777ft vertical rise. Additional hike-to terrain adds an additional 1,700ft of vertical for ambitious skiers and riders. State certified day care, 12 food service operations, ski and snowboard rental, demo and repair center, 16,000-square-foot sundeck, kid friendly programs, conference room, private lessons, cross country, and snowshoe tours.

Daycare Camps kick off next week! 🏕️

Our Mountain Scouts Camps (for kids 0-5 years old) and Mountain Explorer Camps (for kids 6-11 years old) will both be running all summer long! This is a great opportunity to get your kids outside to learn about the amazing world around them, hangout with kids their age, and just be kids!

Both camps are 4 days long* and run from Monday-Thursday. Transportation from Hood River and Parkdale is also available for an extra charge.

Here is a fun fact for you this Tuesday afternoon: in 2024 the Oregon Outback was designated an International Dark Sky Sanctuary, making it one of the largest contiguous dark sky zones in the lower 48.

We want to celebrate that, and give all of y’all the chance to enjoy our starry skies for yourself this summer during our Dark Sky Camping events.

Happening July 12 and August 13* we will be shutting the lights off and offering RV parking up on the mountain. Join us for a lovely evening out under the stars ✨

*this night will also be close to the peak of the Perseid meteor shower ☄️

Mark your calendar! Our Mountain Cleanup is less than a month away 🏔️

Join us June 28 at Your Mountain Home for a day of showing our love for Mama Hood. We will be hitting the slopes to pick up trash at ~9 AM.

Registration will be available on our website. This event is free to participate in, but please register ahead of time so we can get an accurate head count!

Join us under the stars this summer for 2 movies on the deck: Homeward Bound on August 28 and The Mighty Ducks on September 4

Both movies start at dusk. Kids (14 and younger) are $10 and adults are $12. A beer cart and movie snacks will be available!

Our Summer Daycare Camps are back ☀️

This season, we will not only be offering our 4-day camps (running Monday-Thursday), but also the option to add on transportation to and from Hood River or Parkdale.

Similarly, we will also have our Mountain Scouts and Mountain Explorer camps available June, July and August.

🐿️ Mountain Scouts: for preschoolers who want to get outside and enjoy the mountain environment, make new friends, and explore the world around us through structured and unstructured playtime.

🦉 Mountain Explorer: for campers age 6-11 who want action-packed days on the mountain. Campers will enjoy hikes, scenic chairlift rides, STEM projects and art activities.

And if a 4-day camp is too long, but you still want to get your child up to the mountain, then we also have single day drop ins available.
