This summer, our team has been busy working on the largest electrical infrastructure project at Meadows since the resort was constructed. ⚡️

This project upgrades the original, direct-buried power lines that serve the north side of the mountain to modern ones that are more protected. This will significantly improve power reliability for the Shooting Star and Hood River Express lifts, as well as the Hood River Meadows Lodge and our Nordic Center.

Watch the video to learn more and see some of our awesome team working on this important project.

We woke up this morning to an awesome surprise at Meadows: the first dusting of snow this season! ❄️🤯

While it's just a little bit of snow that probably won't be sticking around, we are incredibly stoked to see it, especially after the summer Oregon has had.

It's a little reminder that winter is on its way... and to get your 2026-27 Season Pass. 😉

New month means one month closer to ski season 🎿

With a change in the weather forecasted, we are starting to truly look ahead to winter.

The countdown is on.

**photo from last season, but felt it was too pretty not to share (especially with rainy days ahead).

Lil’ mountain update for ya on this beautiful Sunday ☀️

Things are moving in the right direction for the Grasshopper Fire, which has low surpassed the 80% containment mark! Crews are still working on suppression in the rugged SW corner as well as clean up along the northern/Hwy 35 corridor (stay alert while driving along that road and give teams plenty of space).

The nearby Austin fire is also moving in the right direction and crews are working diligently to keep its footprint as small as possible.

Meadows is still playing host to the fire camp, so if you’d like to write a card or make a sign, we know they’d appreciate the love 💛

The Grasshopper Fire might be slowly wrapping up (it’s currently at 76% containment), but there is still a lot of help to give - not just for the fire fighters, but for all the communities affected.

If you can, consider heading out and supporting local businesses who have been impacted this summer, checking out (and donating!) to the Oregon chapter of the Wildland Firefighter Foundation, or volunteering with different organizations that are on the ground helping fire victims and their animals.

We are forever grateful for the fire personnel who protected our Mountain Home and who continue to protect others around the state and the whole PNW.
