Wow, we were first up at backed by in front of 300 people — I shared how Fridie Outdoors gets you from "We should go camping" to "I'm so happy we went!"

Feedback afterwards stuck with me:
"I had tried to go camping 3 times and didn't go. I downloaded Fridie and now my family is camping this month!"

We make a difference, and I'm excited for what's coming soon to make an even bigger impact.

Congratulations to fellow founders that pitched solving a wide range of real-world problems, including surgical decision-making, workforce development, engineering new proteins for carbon capture, preventing burnout, and so much more.

Summer...summer...summertime, ready to unwind!

And I tell ya...we're going to be camping so much this summer! How about you? Any camping, hiking, hammocking, stand up paddle boarding plans?

We booked some campsites and purposely left some weekends without plans...that way if we just wanna go out for a day on the lake or do a beach trip, we have that flexible too.

So excited!!!

🎂 Birthday girl here!!

For the past year, I started contemplating a goal: I wanted to learn how to swim. What I really wanted was to go camping on a lake and be at peace on a paddleboard.

But I kept running into this little voice, "You can't swim. What if you drown?"

So I flipped the question. I started asking:
What would it take for me to feel peace in the water?
What would it take to feel truly comfortable & confident out there?"

The answer was always the same: Learn to swim.

So that's what I did. 🏊🏽‍♀️

And THIS birthday? I'm ringing it in as a swimmer! On my birthday yesterday, I paddle boarded and kayaked — and loved every second.

There's something about doing things I've never done and going for it. That's the energy I'm carrying into this next year.

Happy Chinese New Year! The Year of the Horse in the Chinese zodiac symbolizes strength, speed, energy, and independence. Associated with passion, freedom, and action, this year often signals a time for rapid progress, travel, and taking risks, though it may bring volatility and require patience.

In honor of the Chinese New Year, here are some moments from travels to Shanghai and Bejing. I remember these moments walking outside and thinking how much I love that no matter where we live, being outside feels good.

That's why I'm really excited to embrace this year with strength, speed, and energy and build out what we're working on with Fridie Outdoors to get even more people camping and outdoors!

Camping is considered a "gateway activity" because most campers start doing other outdoor activities too. And I tell you...

Something magical happened this summer while camping...

After years of camping near lakes, rivers, and the beach, I fell in love with the water in a new and unexpected way.

I fell in love with the water.

Not standing by the water.
Not admiring from afar.

But I fell in love with being ON and IN the water.

It's been really unexpected for my relationship with water to change like this because growing up I never learned to swim. The ocean was polluted and there were no pools.

While I've taken lessons here and there a while back, fear and embarrassment held me back from really going for it.

But this summer, I'm proud to share that I've been taking swimming lessons to become a more confident, fully capable swimmer. And it feels incredible!

Next year, you're about to see a lot more swimming, stand up paddle boarding and kayaking while camping!
