A few updates/reminders for the race tomorrow:

No parking in the park! That is for safety and staff. Follow directions by Parks on where to park.

Water temp was last tested at 80 degrees.

(78 degrees is wetsuit legal for USAT, but it's going to cool off tonight....(?) Ya never know. Will we get to 78 degrees?

Bike Course update: We WILL be turning around on the bike course around a CONE instead of the park due to last minute excavations that would guarantee flat tires for all.

Registration is open and stays open until Race time. Weather forecast looks to be PEFECT for Saturday!

Packet pickup is Friday, August 8 from 4pm - 6pm at Chiddester Pavilion, or in the morning from 6am - 7:30 (for triathletes) or 8am for the swimmers. Roger Antoniu will be doing a clinic with Tips and Tricks for Success during this time...repeating every half hour. We ENCOURAGE first timers to this venue to scope it out as it IS about a 1/4 mile from registration to the transition area around the pond.

Swimmers: The water is totally unforgettably luscious!

We are back to our original bike course, which goes to out to lovely Millersburg , around triangular Eagle Park and back past lovely farms with some rollers. Reminder: There is a NO PASSING ZONE where we ask everyone to slow down to 5 miles an hour both directions to go under the train trestle. There is an S curve there and it is difficult when going even 15 miles an hour and stay in your lane. Stay in your lane! Here is a map if you want to check it out.

Just a few weeks to go until Race Day! The water is so inviting and will feel so good for all the Open Water Swimmers!

And, this is such a super affordable triathlon, we hope everyone takes advantage of it! If you are not ready for all three sports, please consider bringing in your kids or friends and forming a relay team! SUPER DUPER fun and a great bonding experience!

Don't miss this chance to do this super fun triathlon!

If you are concerned about one of the sports - put a relay team together to give it a tri! Relays are SUCH a blast- and a great activity to do with your kids, your work associates, or folks from church!

And, If you need some help finding a swimmer, for example, no worries. The local tri club can send someone your way! Just let us know via text or email if you need help on this!

The swim part would be the EASIEST to fill! We have some mile swimmers that would love to get in a quick warmup before their mile.

We also have spare cyclists and runners standing by to jump in on a team.

So what's holding you back from signing up????

Summer flies by, so time to lock in your fun! The sport of triathlon is an excellent way to cross train. And there are several AWESOME triathlons right in the Michiana area!

Online registration closes tomorrow (Thursday) but you can still register onsite in person on Friday from 4-6 or Saturday from 6-8am at FIdler Pond, Chiddester Pavilion .

The price does go up onsite, just saying.

Don't miss this fantastic race, and once a year opportunity to swim in the Quarry. Please note, that between the railroad trestle rennovation project and now new chip and seal, the decision has been made to go to our Plan B route, which is an out an back on College Avenue. It's scenic with rollers, impossible to take a wrong turn, so put the hammer down and go.

Online registration closes Thursday but you can still register on Friday night from 4-6pm and Saturday morning starting at 6am -8am.
