Young Goshen swimmers, you wanna meet one one of the most prominent and authentic local Goshen swimmers who is a hometown hero… allow me introduce (again) … Steve Conder.

Many don’t know he is one of the winningest Goshen swimmers, coached and lives in Goshen.

He is likely responsible for many of our clubs, high schools and swimmers success because of his selflessness and humility. A fierce competitor and friend to many always the MVP!

You have walked past him on Main Street and never knew it. He is the heart of Goshen swimming.

A Coach Rathke disciple, and others, his heart was always and is Goshen swimming. Not for for politics ( but who of us is).

Someone once told me, Steve is the guy you want with you when life serves you tough love, trials and test.

I’m now 63 and can say you’re the best! A fierce competitor who made me better!

Sometimes leaders stand alone and behind.

Thanks Steve!

Lauren did it!! 💪🎉 After coming so close on three other events, she finally punched her ticket to State in her very last race — the 100 free! 🏊‍♀️ She swam a 1:05.90, just under the state cut of 1:06.29. She gave it everything she had all weekend, and the tears at the end say it all — exhausted, emotional, and so proud. Way to fight to the very end, Lauren! ❤️🔥 We are so proud of you!!

Don here for coach) Dear Goshen swim and GSI family, wanted to offer condolences to the family and all swimmers for this difficult news.

It is perhaps the last picture which you already well know that is deeply inspirational and a memory to carry forward in your lives and swimming of what is possible.

Keep up the good work GSI

Hi all, DJ here on Coachs channel. Happy new years!

This holiday season, we reflect on the journey of champions—those who endured countless hours and miles in the pool, who suffered to prepare for both victory and defeat.

The path is hard. It’s harsh. It’s cold. It’s filled with yelling, gasping for breath, earaches, exhaustion, and pain. These are the markers of a champion. But in the end, it all comes down to one question: How bad do you want it?

How will you persist?

Being a winner isn’t just about earning blue ribbons. It’s about embracing the journey, pushing through, and becoming more than you ever thought.

Most of all thank your parents and coaches.
