I don’t think the next level of business changes women in the way people expect it to.

Most people assume growth comes from becoming more polished, more productive, more strategic, more ā€œon.ā€ But after years of coaching women through major business growth, I’ve noticed something very different.

The women who scale don’t suddenly transform into entirely different people. What actually changes is much less obvious than that…

They trust themselves faster. And they stop spending enormous amounts of energy trying to manage everyone else’s reaction.

Nothing reveals your relationship with discomfort faster than a sales call 😬

The second the energy shifts, most women start trying to rescue the conversation (more explaining, more clarifying, more emotional management).

You can almost hear the internal spiral happening in real time. And usually, the call doesn’t actually need more talking…it needs a better question.

I just recorded a new YouTube video breaking down 3 phrases I use when a high-ticket sales call starts going sideways.

I don’t think women are struggling with confidence as much as people think we are.

I think we’re struggling with mixed messages.

Go after big things. Build a career. Make the money. Take up space.

…just don’t make anyone uncomfortable while you do it.

After years of absorbing that, women become incredibly skilled at editing themselves in real time.

You see it constantly in business. The email gets softened before it’s sent. The price gets lowered before anyone reacts. The win gets downplayed before anyone can think you’re ā€œtoo much.ā€

And eventually, that balancing act gets old.

Because growing into a bigger version of yourself asks different things from you.

It asks you to stop over-explaining. To say what you mean a little faster. To let people have their own reaction instead of managing it for them.

The women I see building incredible businesses are usually the women who stop editing themselves in real time.

P.S. If this hits home for you, my free Lead Generation Strategy Workbook will help you get clearer on your messaging and attract the right people without overcomplicating everything.

One good conversation can do more for your business than another month of ā€œtrying to be consistentā€ on LinkedIn.

That’s what this week’s YouTube video is about.

How I use coffee chats / networking calls / low-pressure conversations to fill my pipeline without sounding salesy or awkward.

I break down: what to say, who to reach out to, how to keep it from feeling weird, and how these conversations naturally turn into sales calls.

Coffee Chats That Lead to Clients (Without Turning Into a Sales Call)

It’s easy to feel like you’ve missed your shot.

Like everyone else got some secret head start while you’ve been stuck circling the same decision.

But you’re not behind. You never were (I promise).

One of the women in our program is 80 years old.

She’s not rushing, comparing, or second-guessing. She shows up with presence, perspective, and (yes) a wicked backhand on the tennis court.

Because ambition doesn’t have an expiration date. And your next chapter doesn’t care how old you are, how long it’s been, or how many detours you’ve taken.

It just needs you to say yes.

So if you’ve ever wondered whether it’s too late to grow, to pivot, or to finally build the thing that’s been tugging at you for years…

Let her be your reminder.

You’re not too late.
You’re not too far behind.
You’re not the exception.

You’re just getting started.

Feel something? Share this with the friend who's ready for her next chapter.

Consistency in business rarely comes from doing more.

It comes from being able to trace your results back to something specific.

When that’s unclear, everything feels heavier than it should.

That’s where most women stay stuck longer than they need to.

If you’re looking at your business and thinking ā€œsomething’s off, but I can’t quite see itā€ā€¦send me a note. I’m happy to point you in the right direction.

There’s a point in almost every sales conversation where things are actually going well.

It feels like everything is landing.

And then it happens.

You add one more example. One more bit of context. And you try to make it easier for them to say yes.

And somehow…things start falling apart.

I see this all the time. And it’s not because you’re ā€œbad at selling.ā€ It’s because you’ve been taught that your job is to persuade them all the way to YES.

It’s not.

There’s a simple 10-word sentence I teach my clients that helps them stay in that moment instead of overworking it.

It keeps the conversation light, direct, and a lot more natural.

I broke it down in my latest YouTube video: The 10 Word Sentence That Makes Selling Feel Easy

The way women respond to each other’s wins feels different than it used to.

There’s less comparison under the surface…and it’s a beautiful thing.

P.S. If you’ve been craving deeper, more aligned conversations about what it actually means to be a woman growing a business… you’re exactly who this is for.

Join my newsletter for the kind of thinking, perspective, and conversations that actually move things forward.

I was teaching at Columbia this week and told a story I always come back to…

It’s 1924. A woman answers her front door. A man in a full suit throws dirt all over her entryway and says, ā€œDon’t worry, I’ll have that cleaned up in no time.ā€

He became one of the top salespeople for the Fuller Brush Company.

It sounds ridiculous (it kind of is).

But even then, without all the language we use now, he understood something simple.

People don’t respond to neutral, they respond to something that makes them stop and pay attention.

Funny how that hasn’t really changed.
