In Loving Memory of Amjad Ali đź’”

It’s hard to believe… Amjad Ali is no longer with us. This feels so unreal. We’ve lost not just a phenomenal cricketer but an incredible human being who touched so many lives in ways words can never fully capture.

Amjad wasn’t just a teammate at Kentucky Cricket Club—he was family. On the field, he was a true legend, playing with unmatched passion and skill, inspiring everyone around him. But off the field, he was even more remarkable. His vibrant personality, his infectious laughter, his ability to light up any room—these are what made him unforgettable. He had this way of making everyone feel seen, valued, and happy.

For so many of us, Amjad wasn’t just a cricketer. He was a friend, a brother, and a role model. His kindness, his energy, his larger-than-life presence—how do we even begin to fill that void?

Our hearts go out to his family during this devastating time. May they find strength and peace knowing how deeply loved and respected Amjad was by everyone who knew him.

Amjad Bhai (As he was called with love), you will be missed in ways words cannot describe. Rest in peace, our brother. You’ll always be a part of us.

Congrats and good luck to all the KCC players, Hari Joshi, Jawad chaudhry, & Ferhan Ali who took part in the Michigan Minor league trials this past wknd. Hari joshi was part of the training group last year and looking to make a break through into the playing squad, and both Jawad and Ferhan who were part of the minor league team look to further cement their places in the squad for the 2022 season.

- Another special mention for Ferhan Ali who once again places in the top tier for the Michigan Stars Minor league fitness test and another solid outing with the bat and ball.

We would like to welcome all local Cricketers to join the Kentucky Cricket Club in its first ever Cricket Camp. The camp will have Certified Coaches, trainers and dietitians that will be explaining and providing regimes for all camp members. The Kentucky Cricket Club is grateful to have the support of the USA National Cricketer Ali Khan, Michigan Stars (Minor League Team) Head Coach Jonathan Dees and Mathew Varghese of Cincinnati Cricket Club. Please join the Kentucky Cricket Club this Sunday for the presentation of “Born Again Strength & Legacy Academy (1800 Elite Drive) our very first Elite Training Camp from 12PM to 5PM.

Old is gold. Congratulations to this regions senior memebers along with our own captain Hammad Malik who has been selected to travel to Houston this April to take part in the Masters Cricket Over 50 National tournament. Another member from this league and an avid supporter of KCC Mathew Varghese was part of the list. Both Hammad and Mathew have been part of leadership roles in our region and now will be representing our region in this upcoming tournament. The list will then be shortened to 15 players who will travel to England later on and compete against other nations. Good luck lads 🏏🇺🇸💪🏼

Congrats to our Ferhan Ali for being part of the Midwest Zonal team. He becomes the only senior player from our region & neighboring states to be part of this new regional system. To travel 5 hrs in order to partake in any zonal trials and compete against locals of that region and make a mark doesn’t come easy. Proud moment for us as we hope he continues to climb the ladder.

Ps; Kcc continues its quest to promote the highest level of cricket, and field the top players of this region. With 9 players in that list who have represented KCC at one point. Congratulations to all

A proud moment for KCC as Ferhan Ali gets selected as Vice Captain of Michigan stars. The Stars go to 1-1 for the start of the season after losing a close encounter with Chicago blasters, And then the following Sunday pulling out a close win that went down to the final over, as the Chicago Catchers required 16 in the final over and Ferhan held his cool & carried his team over the finish line along with captain Shaker Ahmed 🇺🇸 scoring an unbeaten 72. Both leaders leading from the front !
