We have some classes coming up. Taught by Andee Reardon of East Coast School of Safety.
This month Andee will be teaching a co-ed Fundamentals class for beginners and those who want a refresher. This Wednesday at 6 PM is the club social and Spring Good Gear Raffle. We will have a pot luck dinner so please bring a dish to pass.

Please bring your usable sporting gear that you no longer want or use to be raffled off. Drawing entries will be a quarter each.

There are still Member's Only Raffle tickets available at the meeting as well.

A reminder about the social meeting this Wednesday. Dinner starts at 6, followed by shooting at 6:30. It is semi-auto centerfire pistol night, and dinner will be provided by the club. Bring your favorite semi-auto pistol, or come check out others! Just like last time - if you are able to bring some ammo to allow others to try your fi****ms, please do. If you are planning to try other people's guns, you can also bring ammo of your own (if, for example, you're trying to find a new 9mm to suit your needs).

If we have enough members to have a quorum, a couple of our prospective members might be there and could be voted in.

The 2021 Maine moose permit lottery application process is open! Applications for the moose permit lottery are accepted online only.

To apply online, go to mefishwildlife.com and fill out the online moose permit application. There, you will be able to indicate several preferences, including which wildlife management districts (WMD) you are willing to accept a permit in, and if you would accept a permit in another WMD if your name is drawn and all of your top choices are filled. You will also be able to select your preferred hunting season, whether or not you would accept an antlerless permit, and your choice of a sub-permittee.

New in 2021, the Department is proposing an adaptive unit hunt to determine if lowering the moose population density in the western side of WMD 4 can lessen the impacts of winter tick. Applicants will be asked if they want to apply for an adaptive unit hunt permit when completing the application.

Applications must be completed by 11:59 pm (ET) on May 13, 2021.

The virtual 2021 moose lottery permit drawing will take place June 12, 2021.
