We have a few youth teams who participate in the Kansas Clay Target League at 2A! Russell happens to be one, and they just brought home their second consecutive conference title! Congrats, and good luck at State!

We now have squad confirmation from all teams involved in our youth invitational this coming Sunday, May 31. We have two squads open for individuals (10 spots). One squad opening is at 11:30 and 3:30, the second is open at 12:30 and 4:30. These positions will be open on a first come first serve basis.

Anyone is welcome, including youth from teams already participating (scores will not count towards team totals)! Scores will count for all individual awards.

YOUTH INVITATIONAL MAY 31

We have a few teams checking on filling our last available squad. If they are unable to do so by Monday, we will open those spots up to individual shooters!

Our squad times are as follows.

Victoria - 9:00 and 1:00
Russell - 9:30 and 1:30
Stafford - 10:00 and 2:00
Hays - 10:30 and 2:30
Osborne - 11:00 and 3:00
Lacrosse - 11:30 and 3:30
Minneapolis - 12:00 and 4:00
Riley County / Open 12:30 and 4:30

All squads have 50 targets per time slot. We hope to run ahead of schedule as most squads will take less than 30 minutes. Please plan accordingly!

ALL TIES FOR TROPHIES WILL BE BROKEN VIA SHOOT-OFF. This includes team trophies! Be sure to stick around if you think you’re in the thick of it!

Lunch will be available on site!

We have trophies for 1st and 2nd place teams! The top five scores from the 1st place team will all receive 1oz of .999 silver.

Top 3 Boys and Girls will also receive .999 silver trophies.

1st - 1oz
2nd - 1/2oz
3rd - 1/4oz

Weather - unless dangerous, we will not postpone or cancel.

We have 1 squad opening (5 shooters) for our youth invitational on May 31st. If you have a school who’s not currently signed up and would like the spot contact us at 785-324-0692.

Entry fee is 40$ per participant. This is a 100 target singles event. We have silver trophies for top team, and top three boys and girls!

If we do not fill this spot with a team we will open it up to 5 individuals.

Schools who have committed to our youth invitational on May 31st

We’d love for all youth to be able to participate, unfortunately there is just not enough time in the day. Entrants have been limited to two squads per school. We are still waiting on a few committed teams to verify how many shooters they are bringing. IF YOU HAVE A YOUTH TEAM INTERESTED, contact Eddie at 785-324-0692. We can put you on the wait list in the event some of these teams can only bring one squad. Entry fee will be $40 per participant (shells not included)

How this shoot will work. Each squad will have a designated start time. They will shoot 50 targets on 1 trap to begin with. Once all squads have shot their first 50 we will rotate traps and shoot the second 50. There will be a designated NO GO zone behind the fields where no one, other than shooters and scorekeepers are allowed. We are striving to make this as close to the upcoming state shoot as possible!

Team scores will be based off the top five shooters from each team. 1st and 2nd place teams will receive a team trophy. The top five shooters from the winning team will receive 1oz of silver!

Individual trophies will be presented as well.

1st boy - 1 oz of silver
2nd boy - 1/2 oz of silver
3rd boy - 1/4 oz of silver

1st girl - 1 oz of silver
2nd girl - 1/2 oz of silver
3rd girl- 1/4 oz of silver

If we do not have enough girls to place 1-3, the remaining trophies will be rolled over to the boys.

Thank you to everyone who shot with us this weekend! The weather was less than ideal, but some solid score were posted!

Congrats to Brian Legleiter on being our first ever registered 100 straight!

Thank you to everyone who helped load and gave our scorers a break! It is appreciated!

Finally, thank you to Jacquelyn and Michelle for the great lunch, and our office girls Kelli, and Jes! You guys are amazing!

Our next registered shoot will be held July 11/12 NOT ON JUNE 27/28 as is listed a few places! We hope to see YOU there!
