Casting Call! Film scene needing solider and civilian…

CASTING CALL!

Wednesday, Oct 7th from 12 noon - 1 pm. Filming will be in Lynchburg.

We need Civil War civilians for a quick scene depicting people paying their respects to Jackson's remains, laying flowers on his coffin, etc. Prefer reenactors with their own clothing - men, women, children. Could use a couple or CS soldiers & officers who have a Civil War body type and correct uniforms.

This scene is based on this important account we recently discovered.

The remains laid in state here at the Old Virginia and Tennessee depot (Lynchburg) all day and all schools were closed and business suspended and thousands flocked to the depot to review them. Our school marched as a body to the depot about noon bearing a large wreath of white snowballs and bouquets which were placed on the coffin. About three o’clock the coffin was place upon a caisson wagon and all the soldiers, with arms reversed, with citizens in carriage marched up 9th street, etc…..The remains were place upon the old packet boat Marshall and taken to Lexington for burial.
