The top water action is in full swing here on beautiful Lake Texoma and we are putting the smack down on them! I will tell you that there is nothing like running a top water bait across the water at first light and watching that big girl swirl come up out of nowhere and EXPLODE on your lure! It will literally make your heart skip!
Most of the striper are done with the spawn and they have come back after reproduction with nothing but a shadburger on their mind! These fish are hungry, angry and aggressive!
Its an early bite and then off before the heat gets us.
If you would like to get in on some of the action just hit me up on this page, call or text me or for large groups you can book me through striperexpress.com
Here are some pics of recent trips.

As many of you know I am now guiding at Lake Texoma full time. I am also still running trips at Eagle Mountain and Bridgeport when scheduling allows and am staying pretty busy as you can imagine.
Fishing is heating up on all three lakes at this time! If you want to get out and get bit...spring is the time. The water is finally warming up and the fish are biting. It is getting good and will only get better in the next few weeks when these fish get off the spawn! With that being said.... March was very busy and April and May dates are booking up quick!
Come make some memories with us and put some fish in the freezer!
If you would like to book a trip hit us up on this page or give us a call at 817-800-8184 and we will get you on the books. You can also book me at www.striperexpress.com but remember to ask for me by name when you book.

Wow! We are having some fantastic weather and the fishing is even better! We are still filling boxes at Eagle Mountain and Bridgeport! The whites are on a serious feed right now and have a really angry attitude! The water temp is dropping in the mid to upper 70's and has really turned the fish on. Now is a great time to get out and enjoy the weather and load the ice chest! Give us a call or hit us up here on this page if you would like to get in on some of the action! We have a few openings left in October and November is booking up. Here are a few pics of recent trips.

The fishing remains solid on Eagle Mountain and Bridgeport with lots of limits still hitting the box. We have been getting most of our fish early as the water temp has been warming to upper 80's to low 90's as the day goes on.School is starting up again and the lake traffic is starting to calm down a little.....especially during the week.🙂
The whites and hybrids are moving at the speed of sound and we have been getting the crappie hunkered up to structure. We are still getting our whites and hybrids by targeting travel ways and using slabs and fly combos. There has also been surfacing activity early and late.On the crappie we have been targeting specific structure with 2" inch plastics. This time of year it is critical for you to know and trust your electronics. It is a great time to get outdoors for the day and put some taco meat in the freezer!
We still have a couple openings for August and September is booking up in a hurry!
Let us know if you would like to get out and fish!

The fishing remains good to great on Eagle Mountain and Bridgeport the past couple of weeks. The lake temps are in the low to mid 70's depending on which lake we are on and which day it is.Both Eagle Mountain and Bridgeport are stained and depending were you are on the lake will determine the clarity. Mother nature has been throwing some serious curve balls at us lately for sure! We have had to juggle a couple of trips due to weather but they definately worked out for the best! We have had some fantastic trips the past two weeks ranging from 80 to over 200 fish being boated per trip. It is starting to get good! We have had to switch strategies a couple of times due to weather fronts but the results remain the same! Lots of limits of angry fish! We are still catching most fish on slab and fly combos on structure in travel ways.
Most trips are catching several different species of fish.
Alot of the fish I am cleaning are still full of eggs and milt. Some have already spawned out and are looking for dinner.
Two things that are certain in fishing...the fish have to eat and they can't leave the lake!
If you would like to get in on some of the fun and put some fish in the freezer.....hit us up on this page or just give us a call! 817-800-8184
The fishing is only getting better as we roll into warmer weather!

We have been dodging wind and weather but we are still chasing them down! We have had several great trips in the past week and are still getting limits. I don't know about you folks but I am over this wind! The water temp is still in the mid sixties and the fish are still. We are in between spawning waves this week and have been catching a ton of small males ready to put on a show. The bite has been a little tricky with some fish just crushing the bait and others just giving it a little crappie like thump. Either way....they are still finding their way into the box.
Hit us up if you would like to get in on the action!

The fishing on Eagle Mountain remains very good! Even with these late cold fronts that keep rolling through North Texas.... the bite remains strong.
Water temp is still in the mid sixties here on Eagle and the white bass are still in all phases of the spawn.
I had Stephen and Shelby Monday afternoon and they put over 100 fish in the boat in about 3 hours. The fish had changed up a little but it did not take us long to get back on them. The fish seem to be scattered early and then grouping up pretty good as the day progresses. This is pretty much a standard late April pattern.
I have started trips from 7am to 4pm the past week and it really does not seem to matter what time of day we get started. We keep getting limits!

If you want to get in on some really great fishing...give us a call or text.

We still have a few openings for May and June is starting to book up!

Well..... it was a bit sporty on the lake today but the fish didn't mind. We are still getting solid limits at Eagle Mountain! The water temp on Eagle Mountain is mid sixties on the main lake and the fish are in various stages of spawning. Some want to eat and some only have love on their mind. Finding the travel ways to and from spawning areas are a sure bet to finding your limit.
I had Ken Jones and his buddy Chris out today and these men put a whooping on the whites! We were a little pinned down by the wind but we made the best of it. They pulled out over 140 white bass, a couple crappie and a pretty good little flathead catfish. They took home a two man limit of fillets for tacos!
Thanks again for fishing with us.....it was a blast!
We still have a couple open spots for next week.
May is booking up quick!
Give us a call if you want to get in on the catching!

Below are a couple of pics of the end result.
Not much time to take pictures with fish flying in the boat today.

The song still remains the same on Eagle Mountain this week. The main lake water temp is in the mid sixties and the fish have been on the move.
It is very common right now for the fish to be in a completely different area tomorrow than they are today. The key the past week has been working the given structure, the right technique, presentation and trusting your electronics. We are catching our fish on mostly slab and fly combos. There have been a few caught on in-line spinners.
Our customers have caught over 500 fish in just four trips this past week! We even had a family of four down from Kansas City that had a 210 fish day!
Needless to say fishing is still very good and only getting better as the water warms up! I have had several ridiculously good trips this past week and the kids have really put a whooping on the sand bass!
I have a few open April dates available and May is starting to fill up. Whether you want to fill up on fillets, get the kids on some fish or just get out and catch some fish...give us a call!

The fishing has been really off the charts this week and really has been fantastic for the past three weeks. We have been catching lots of limits!
The water temp in the main lake on Eagle Mountain has been 59 to 63 degrees the past couple of days and whites and hybrids are relating well to structure. Some great places to look are slopes or ledges next to creek and river channels. These areas are being used as super highways to and from spawning areas right now. We have been catching our fish on Ole Ugly slab and fly combos and the fish have been crushing them. We have had a lot of days with 60 to 100 fish and had a family of four out today that ended up with a 170 fish day! We are on them pretty good right now. I have many trips with kids in the past few weeks and they are getting hooked! If you are looking to fill the freezer with some fillets.....give us a call or text or hit me up on this page.

Here are a couple of pics from this week.
