Meet Deb! Catch her coaching the Hammer Fit class or pushing herself to reach new heights and leading by example for all the athletes in the gym. Read on to get to know more about her:

"I grew up near Philly and moved to Charleston to escape the snow. Like many millennial women, I struggled with body image and food. My fitness journey began with Dragon Boat training in China and continued with CrossFit in 2016, sparking my love for weightlifting and pushing my limits.
While prepping for Navy OCS, I developed an eating disorder and an obsession with intense workouts. After being medically retired from the Navy, I underwent intensive outpatient treatment to heal my relationship with food and fitness. Returning to Charleston in 2020, I rekindled my passion for CrossFit.
Despite ongoing struggles with fitness, food, and PTSD, I earned my CrossFit L1 and joined Lowcountry Barbell in 2023. My goal as a coach is to help others with similar challenges, growing alongside an amazing team of veterans, service members, and dedicated athletes."
