SJ Baseball annual clean up day completed! Dugout painted, trash picked up, and weeds pulled. Season has been going for two weeks and we are ready to get games started! First home game vs. Pima on March 3rd. Varsity at 1:30 and JV will start around 3:30.

The time has come around to do our annual preseason players lunch meeting to get a feel for what our numbers will be this up coming season.

We will hold this meeting during lunch on Wednesday December 17th in the career center at the high school. Lunch will be provided and everyone that plans on playing is required to attend.

This should not interfere with any of the winter sports schedules unless something changes. Please spread the word.

Today, April 22 the Redskins traveled to Mogollon beating the Mustangs 4-2. Player Choice players of the game went to Brennon Leslie for pitching an outstanding game and Juan Calderon who played a solid center field and hit a triple. On April 17 the team played Valley Sanders winning 19-2. Player choice player of the game went to Mark Cox.

Today was the St Johns baseball teams senior night and final home game of the regular season. They played against Northland Prep. These boys had a great game winning 15-1. Coaches choice player of the game goes to our 7 senior boys who have made this season so exciting to watch. They are an amazing bunch, way to go Brennon, Cy, Ethan, Everett, Dane, Mark and McCray! The Redskins play again tomorow against Mogollon, and Friday against the Round Valley Elks.

Great game in Holbrook today! St. Johns won 15-2. Player choice player of the game went to Ethan Skousen. Ethan pitched a great game only giving up 2 runs, and he had 2 hits. The Redskins play again Wednesday at Valley Sanders.

April 8th the Redskins played Many Farms,winning 14-0. The Player Choice Player of the Game went to Gabe Castillo who had 2 hits, scored 2 runs and pitched a scoreless inning. The boys will leave Thursday to play in the Epic Tournament.

Today the Redskins headed over to Joseph City. They won 16-0. Player choice player of the game went to McKray Johnson who hit a triple, a home run, and got 4 RBIs. He also pitched one scoreless inning. Tomorrow’s game is at home against Many Farms at 4.

This week has been a busy windy cold one for our Redskin baseball team. April 1st they faced Hopi winning 13-1. April 3rd they were up against the Chinli Wildcats winning 4-3. Today they won against Piñon 16-2. The player choice players of the games went to T Platt, Ethan Skousen, and Cy Lindsey. And a big shout out to the fans who came and froze while cheering these boys on!
