The results don’t show it, but we had a pretty solid night.

This event was something special, and I’m extremely grateful just to have been invited. It truly was the best of the best. To be there, you had to earn your way in by winning a national event or winning on a national level, so just being part of it meant a lot.

No Legend Car had been on this track since 2011. With over a decade passing and so many changes to the track, nobody really knew what setup to bring, what gear to run, or what to expect. We showed up fast, qualified P8, and finished P2 in our heat, which lined us up 7th for the feature.

For most of the race, we just rode around, had fun, and enjoyed the opportunity. We worked our way up to P3 at one point, and on a late-race caution I chose the top lane, putting us on the front row for the restart. That was such a cool moment and one I’ll remember for a long time.

When the green came back out, things got dicey and a racing incident sent us into the outside wall, ending our night early.

Normally, I’d leave pretty disappointed with an ending like that, but this event was about so much more than where we finished. It was about showing just how close the racing community really is. We compete hard against each other every weekend, but when someone in our racing family needs us, all of that gets put aside and everyone comes together.

I’m thankful we got to be a small part of something that meant so much more than racing. Sometimes the finish really is the least important part of the night.

It’s RACE DAY here at Bowman Gray Stadium! 🏁

We’re incredibly honored to have been invited to compete in such a special event. 51 of the best Legend Cars are on the property today, and we’re ready to see what we can do against some of the best in the country.

Grateful for the opportunity and excited to get after it. Wish us luck! 🍀🏁

P1 at Highland Rim Speedway

At around 6pm I received a phone call to come start and park a car so our semi pro field could get full points. I dropped everything and came straight to the track. After some discussion I decided I wanted to try and come thru the field and see where I could finish. So I started 12th and slowly worked my way up and dodged some cautions. At the end of the race we found ourselves in victory lane as the Semi Pro winner and p2 overall.

I can’t thank Kevin and Mark enough for allowing me to drive the car.

The Summer Shootout officially came to an end this past Tuesday.

It was a season full of ups and downs. The first two rounds didn’t go our way, but after that, Amidon Motorsports and I had one goal: Just Win

We ended the season with three wins, multiple top-5s, and plenty of top-10 finishes. That was enough to move us up to 2nd in the overall points after finishing 3rd last year.

Sure, we’d rather be holding the championship trophy, but looking back at where we started, I’m proud of what this team accomplished. We never quit. Every week we showed up looking for more speed, made the car better, and kept putting ourselves in contention.

Huge thanks to Amidon Motorsports, my family, sponsors, and everyone who supports this team. We’ll keep building and come back even stronger next year.

Seeing double this week! 🏁🏆

It was a busy week but one we’ll definitely remember.

Saturday, we raced at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway and debuted a brand-new chassis. We qualified 3rd quickest, and after the invert, we rolled off from the pole. The track was damp and tricky, but we made the most of it and came away with the win in an exciting green-white-checkered finish.

Then it was off to Charlotte Motor Speedway for the Summer Shootout on Monday and Tuesday.

Monday didn’t go the way we wanted. We started 9th and finished 7th, and it was obvious something wasn’t quite right with the car. We took it back to Amidon Motorsports Tuesday morning, went through everything, and found a front brake caliper dragging, which caused major brake fade. After replacing the brakes, we headed straight to qualifying and put the car P3.

Tuesday night’s race was long, hot, and hard fought. We ran 2nd nearly the entire race, staying within striking distance of the leader. Coming to the final corner on the final lap, we were in the right place at the right time. We got to the leader’s bumper, made the pass, and crossed the finish line first.

Two wins in four days is a huge confidence boost, and I can’t thank everyone at Amidon Motorsports, my family, sponsors, and everyone who supports Dylan Faulkner Racing enough. Time to keep the momentum rolling! 💪🏁

Summer nights in Charlotte North Carolina!

Round 4 was going good till it wasn’t. We started p10 and made our way all the way up to 2nd and got wrecked. That wreck sent us to the rear but we still managed to race our way up to 12th which is where we finished.

We’re back at Charlotte Motor Speedway tonight after picking up the win last week, and we’re carrying a lot of confidence into this race. We had a really good practice last night, showed some solid speed, and feel good about where we’re at heading into tonight.
