🚨 Attention Hunters, Dog Owners & Trainers 🚨
There’s a piece of legislation being discussed right now—the Greyhound Protection Act of 2025—that could have far-reaching effects beyond what most people realize:
While it’s intended to address concerns around commercial greyhound racing, some of the language being proposed is very broad… and that’s where concerns come in!
If interpreted broadly, this could impact:
• Training with live birds (a key part of developing safe, effective hunting dogs)
• Field trials & hunt tests
• Working dog training (retrievers, hounds, bird dogs, etc.)
• Dog sports like barn hunt, earthdog, and more
• Even certain training methods used for rescue and rehabilitation dogs

Stop the Farm Bill Hunting Ban!
The U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Agriculture has approved an amendment to the Farm Bill called the Greyhound Protection Act, which would ban “live lure training,” defined as the use of anything alive to hunt or train dogs—including all game birds.
Contact your member of the U.S. House of Representatives and your U.S. senators and ask them to strip the anti-dog hunting language from the Farm Bill.
