This pregnancy and working out has not been what I envisioned. The first trimester, like the other 2, had no mercy on me with sickness. When I started to feel better around 14 weeks, my husband had a major medical emergency. Fast forward to about 28 weeks give or take and I was so ready to move, still overwhelmed, but I got in at least once a week with my class ladies. Have had some round ligament pain this go around. A couple visits with a pelvic floor therapist but will pick up postpartum.
Felt good to move, even if limited and modified. Also, needed extra energy to keep up with hydration and nutrition. All the while still chasing my toddler 🤪 and keeping up with life and the pr***en. The sicknesses have also hit our house in full force this winter season also limiting, so I stopped working out 36 weeks. Now been focusing on stretching for labor prep, walking, hydration, chiropractor, acupuncture, etc!
All this to say is, it's just a season. It's temporary. My body needed grace, slowness and others in my family needed my attention more. I listened and honored. Always remember that. Added stress isn't helpful. I'll be excited to get back to slow movements, but I won't be rushing. Body and pelvic floor will need siffice t healing. It's time to Soak up time with baby girl in 2 weeks give or take 💗 waiting on her to tell me she's ready!
