r of specific techniques to defend against specific attacks, MBC focuses on perfecting a few proven techniques and learning how to apply them to literally hundreds of different defensive situations. Through this easy-to-learn method, students develop defensive proficiency very quickly and have both the ability and the confidence to employ their skills after only a brief period of training.

I just returned from a truly phenomenal weekend of training hosted by Eric Kaltenborn and Buckeye Combatives. I was honored to share MBC and CBC with a group of 30+ folks who came from all over the US and Canada to participate. With the outstanding support of more than half a dozen Certified and Associate Instructors, I was able to test drive a new teaching methodology that got everyone up to speed incredibly quickly and made the experience truly unforgettable.

We also added to our instructor ranks by formally recognizing Dave Senkbeil, aka Iron Tree Kali, as an Affiliate Instructor in MBC.

I'd like to express my sincere thanks to Eric Kaltenborn and Bryan McKean (and his awesome family) for hosting me, to all the instructors who served as my "force multipliers," and to everyone who participated for making it an amazing experience!!! I'd also like to thank Mickey Yurco for sharing his beautiful custom knives and Greg Wegrzycki, aka Karambitmaker, for his generous donation of a stunning custom-made knife.
