This Glennie mosaic was created by swimmer and artist Tracy Grilli, the Glen Lake Swim’s first women’s champion in 2018. Tracy has remained a supporter of the event both in and out of the water, including as a sponsor. The start of Wave 3—one of five—provides a good picture of the controlled mayhem at the Glen Lake Swim!

We seed swimmers into waves based on their projected finish times, helping minimize collisions between faster and slower swimmers once the herd gets moving. And because the event is net-timed, each swimmer’s clock starts when their wave starts—so there’s no time penalty for starting in a later wave. Video by Cindy Telley.

Well doggie, the Glen Lake Swim is just about sold out—but you can still come check out all the action at Glennie Gulch (Goffstown Parks & Recreation)!

The roundup starts at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 16. Spectatin’ is free, and besides some mighty fine swimmin’, you’ll be entertained by country-western songbird Olivia Conway.

The only thing we ask is that you park at Goffstown High School, 27 Wallace Road. From there, mosey on down to the far end of the parking lot and follow the trail to Glennie Gulch.

Come on down and join the hoedown!
