KYG Freestyle/Greco kicked off tonight. Good mix of kids. Some trying it for the first time, some who’ve been here before. Everyone got work in and everyone left better than they came.

If your wrestler has been thinking about freestyle/greco but hasn’t jumped in yet, this is the time. It’s not about being perfect. It’s about learning, getting comfortable, and getting more mat time.

Solid night with Coach Cayleb Atkins leading the way—already dialing in technique, pushing pace, and setting the standard for the season.

We’ll be back at it Thursday. Come get in.

What a weekend for the Kansas Young Guns!
These wrestlers stepped on the mat, battled through tough brackets, and earned their place at the 2026 Kansas State Folkstyle Wrestling Championship Tournament.

The work in the practice room shows, and we’re incredibly proud of every one of them.
