New hooks came in! Can't wait to try out these new hooks. Have the next size up too but will have to modify the mold to make them. They should be awesome for smallmouth while these smaller ones will be great for crappie.

Some might notice I haven't posted for a while.....most wouldn't know because they don't get notifications from this page after the many changes Facebook has made to "business" pages. Added to the family this year with my son born in January, so as you can imagine much of my time has been spent offline enjoying time with the little guy.

For those that might see this, what products are you interested in? I still make jigs for crappie, walleye, bass, etc. I'm considering expanding my selection. One of the most requested items are Tungsten Weights. I have a supplier lined up since tungsten isn't as easy to do as lead, but I have to make a good size investment up front to get them in stock. Other possibilities are line, reels, and crankbaits. Could possibly get into carrying diff styles of hooks for all types of fishing.

Let me know what you think. Looking at setting up at a couple big fishing shows in the future so want to make sure I carry items that people want. Feel free to DM me with any suggestions as well. Thanks guys/gals

Haven't been able to get out fishing much this year so far but taking advantage of some higher water tonight on the Tuscarawas River. This river is known for good smallmouth fishing, a nice population of northern pike, with some nice saugeye thrown in the mix. One of my favorites though is the healthy population of quality channel catfish in this river.
Of course everyone has their secret baits or ways to rig things up. I mostly use cut shad or bluegill for channels but also use live Creek chubs, bluegills, suckers, and goldfish for channel cats with a great chance at a decent flathead catfish. Nightcrawlers, chicken liver, and stink/dipbaits are also good choices. Channels seem to average 3 to 8 lbs in the Tusc but there is always a good chance at one over 10 lbs. My personal best from the river being just under 16 lbs.
Always be careful when fishing but he extra careful fishing slippery banks and heavy currents. Tight lines!

Facebook giving me issues. Not getting notifications on posts or messages. Thought I would put this pic up from last weekend. Not an action shot but shows our 2nd place limit before meeting the fillet knife.

Another awesome tourney put on by Randy Caldwell at Salt Fork lake here in Ohio. Rain and cold front day before tourney brought the water level up over a foot making for tough fishing and extremely muddy water where the bigger fish should have been. Add high winds on top of it and damn was it a tough but fun day. Great group of guys.

Bobber Down Tackle is still around. Haven't posted much on here due to the lack of reach this page has. Facebook has changed things so much that People that don't constantly check the page no longer gets notifications like they once did. Been focusing on bass and catfish during the summer crappie lull. Hit me up if you're looking for any crappie jigs, bass jigs, or stocking up for that fall walleye/saugeye bite!
