The Vermont Rockets Fastpitch Softball Team

The Vermont Rockets Fastpitch Softball Team The Vermont Rockets, led by Coach Ralph Halbach, is approaching it's 30th fastpitch softball season! The Vermont Rockets organization is busy nearly year round.

The Vermont Rockets feature fastpitch softball teams at the 12U,14U, 16U and 18U age levels. The Rockets program was established in 1995 by Coach Ralph Halbach with the 18U club and expanded to include a 16U team in 2002. In 2016 a 14U team was added and most recently in 2020 a 12U team. Over the years, the Rockets' program has helped inspire the growth of fastpitch softball programs in Vermont. P

layers are now drawn primarily from southern Franklin County and northern Chittenden County high schools, with occasional additions from farther away. Spring finds the coaches finalizing the rosters in preparation for the Summer travel ball season spanning June, July, and into August. Fall features a brief hiatus before the preparation for the Winter Pitching Clinic, which spans December, January, February, and into March. The highlight of the year is the Vermont Rockets Invitational Tournament, traditionally held in Franklin County during the first weekend in August. What an incredible weekend at the Rockets Champlain Invitational! 🥎☀️

A huge thank you to every 12U and 14U team that traveled to compete. We were treated to outstanding softball, amazing sportsmanship, and some beautiful weather all weekend long.

We also want to thank everyone who helped make this tournament a success, our sponsors, volunteers, coaches, families, and fans. Your support made this event possible!

And finally, congratulations to the New Hampshire Lightning on an outstanding weekend, capturing the championship titles in both the 12U and 14U divisions! 🏆

What a fantastic weekend for Vermont Rockets 18U, who won it all at the Battle at Burnham in MA yesterday! 🎉🏆 They were 5-0 on the weekend against some tough teams. The tournament director got it right when he said that the many contributions made by all team members was impressive. It was truly a complete team effort, and we are so incredibly proud of their perseverance, energy, and support for one another! 🚀💙🥎
